Looking for outdoor jokbal and bossam in Sanghyeon-dong?
If you're looking near Sanghyeon-dong in Suji, Yongin, for a place to enjoy delicious jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) in the cool outdoor air, you can't leave out Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch (청담족발 광교상현점)! That day, I had a wonderfully generous and delicious meal of spicy jokbal and punchy garlic bossam at the open-air pocha-style seats.
I happened to visit on an evening with especially lovely weather, and the outdoor tables in front of the restaurant were already filled with a romantic atmosphere. Thanks to the friendly service and flavors worthy of a wow, it was a perfect foodie date from start to finish.
Open and airy outdoor pocha-style seating

Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is conveniently located for arriving by car or public transportation, but one of its biggest draws is undoubtedly the pocha-style outdoor seating set up in front.
It has a charm completely different from eating indoors: sitting in the refreshingly open outdoor space with the cool evening breeze while enjoying jokbal and bossam made the atmosphere truly something special. Anyone who loves that outdoor pocha feeling will get a little thrill the moment they sit down—the atmosphere was so lovely that I completely lost track of time.
A clean, comfortable indoor dining room

Beyond the outdoor seats, the indoor dining room was also thoroughly maintained and hygienic, without a speck of dust in sight, giving an overall very comfortable impression.
The tables were generously spaced rather than cramped, and the floors and tableware were sparkling clean, so I could relax and focus on the meal. The staff also worked smoothly together, keeping service quick, and whenever I needed something, they responded promptly with bright smiles—it really made me feel looked after.
How was the spicy jokbal and garlic bossam combination?

The main dishes I ordered without hesitation were the spicy jokbal, with its fiery heat, and garlic bossam generously topped with a pungent-sweet sauce!

As soon as I finished ordering, the appetizing main dishes arrived alongside fresh side dishes perfect for pairing, filling the table generously. The two dishes, served side by side on large glossy plates, hit my nose with delicious aromas the moment they appeared and had me swallowing hard. Just looking at such a plentiful spread made me feel satisfied already.
Fiery, addictive spicy jokbal

The spicy jokbal was the first thing I reached for. Its spicy, deeply savory seasoning hit the palate right away and had soaked beautifully into every space between the skin and meat, making admiration inevitable.
There was not even a trace of any unpleasant pork smell, and jokbal's signature chewy yet tender texture paired perfectly with the spicy house seasoning. It had that irresistible quality that kept me reaching back for more. It was delicious on its own, but wrapping it with vegetables was also wonderful; the pleasant spice felt like it blew everyday stress away in one go.
Garlic bossam with a pungent-sweet sauce
Next came the garlic bossam, which absolutely lived up to expectations: tender, well-boiled bossam pork arrived piled high with a generous amount of the house's pungent yet sweet garlic sauce.
The meat was wonderfully juicy with none of that dry texture at all, while the sharp garlic flavor cut through the richness and created a fantastic, melt-in-your-mouth taste. The sweet, gentle garlic bossam balanced the fiery spice of the jokbal so beautifully that alternating between the two was truly the ultimate perfect pairing.
A full spread with makguksu and rice balls

Among the fiery, rich meat dishes, makguksu (buckwheat noodles) with sweet-tangy sauce and chewy noodles played the perfect supporting role. Its cool, refreshing flavor neatly cut through the richness of the meat, letting me enjoy every bite without getting tired of it.
The round rice balls I ordered as an extra were nicely seasoned with savory, salty flavor. Dipping them into the spicy jokbal sauce or topping them with it made them a real cheat-code dish for completing an extra-satisfying meal.
