Free parking Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan: Bueokgan Chinese

In short

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is a Chinese restaurant in a standalone building on the Haeundae Dalmaji uphill road in Busan. The writer ordered Bueokgan jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), mala cilantro jjamppong rice, and whole-garlic yuringi, and found the seasoning light rather than heavy, with none of the bloated feeling that usually follows jjajangmyeon. Free parking around and behind the building plus corkage-free up to 3 bottles make it a good pick for a relaxed meal.

Some days you want Chinese food, but not from the usual neighborhood joint — you want somewhere with a bit more atmosphere to eat unhurried. ✨ Looking for exactly that, I ended up at Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, a well-known spot on Haeundae's Dalmaji road.

Unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, this is a Haeundae Chinese place where you get to enjoy Chinese cuisine in a stylish space. Greasy, heavy Chinese food can sit uncomfortably afterward, but the dishes here were clean and light, so I left this Haeundae Chinese restaurant genuinely satisfied. ❤️

Location and parking at Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch sits on the Dalmaji side of Haeundae. Head up the slope past Dongbaek Elementary School and you'll spot a standalone building on the site of the old Sansu Bathhouse — that's where the restaurant is. It's also easy to reach by car from Haeundae Beach or the LCT area, so it's worth keeping in mind as a dining option while sightseeing around Haeundae.

Free parking space around the building

🚗 If you're driving, there's free parking around and behind the building, which made things convenient.

A Haeundae Chinese restaurant with a café-like, polished interior

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch feels different from a typical Chinese restaurant. The distinctive European-style building was striking, but I liked the atmosphere inside even more. 😍

Opening the door at the entrance, the first things I noticed were the green trees outside the window and the modern interior. 😍

Overall it felt clean and sleek, with the kind of comfortable atmosphere you'd get at a café. ❤️ The tables were spaced generously enough that the meal never felt cramped, and

sitting by the window especially, the green trees filled the view, making it a great pick for a Haeundae family dinner or a Haeundae date spot. ⭐

What I ordered and the restaurant's signature dishes

Menu board at Bueokgan Chinese

✨ Bueokgan Chinese is said to build on traditional Chinese cooking methods while adding its own sensibility to both the space and the menu. Signature dishes include poached-egg five-layer pork ganjajang, beef brisket jjamppong, and black vinegar pork sirloin tangsuyuk, along with distinctive items you rarely see at other Chinese restaurants, like whole-garlic yuringi, jalapeño cream shrimp, and cilantro jjamppong. This time I ordered ✨ Bueokgan jjajangmyeon, mala cilantro jjamppong rice, and whole-garlic yuringi.

Bueokgan jjajangmyeon — I liked it even more for being light

Bueokgan jjajangmyeon with thick-cut pork

The Bueokgan jjajangmyeon is made the traditional way, simmering thick-cut pork, onion, and cabbage slowly over low heat. The pork had a good bite, the sauce wasn't overly thick or salty, and the flavors of the meat, onion, and cabbage blended into something pleasantly light. 👍

I like Chinese food, but even when jjajangmyeon tastes good, I often feel a greasy aftertaste or bloating later, so I don't eat Chinese food that often. This jjajangmyeon had none of that heaviness, so I think it would really suit anyone who prefers a clean, light bowl of jjajangmyeon. 👍

Mala cilantro jjamppong rice — the cilantro-mala combo is the draw

Mala cilantro jjamppong rice served with rice on the side

The mala cilantro jjamppong rice I'd been looking forward to is Bueokgan's signature jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), letting you enjoy the distinctive cilantro aroma alongside mala's flavor.

The soup and rice come separately so you can combine them however you like, and it was generously loaded with beef brisket and vegetables. Tasting the broth first, I picked up the characteristic mala aroma, followed by a subtle waft of cilantro. 😍 I'm a cilantro lover, so I enjoyed it a lot. 👍

You might assume the mala would make it spicy and intense, but not at all — the savory richness from the beef brisket combined with fresh vegetable stock gave the broth a deep, full flavor with no blandness. The mala aroma wasn't overwhelming, so it felt completely manageable, and being able to choose your spice level so you can adjust it to your own taste was also a plus. 👍

Whole-garlic yuringi — crispy and light

Whole-garlic yuringi served over lettuce

The whole-garlic yuringi, fried chicken and whole garlic cloves eaten with crisp lettuce, was also delicious. 👍 The fried chicken was genuinely crispy, and with the sauce pooled at the bottom of the plate, dipping the crunchy chicken into it gave a nice balance of sweet-and-sour flavor against the crispy coating. 👍

Even though it's a fried dish, it was lighter than expected and never felt heavy. Eating it together with the lettuce added a crunchy texture, and the combination of crispy chicken, crunchy lettuce, sauce, and whole garlic worked really well. 👍

A Haeundae Chinese restaurant that's light, not overly seasoned

A full table spread of Chinese dishes

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch felt different from a typical Haeundae Chinese restaurant right from the atmosphere. Between the distinctive European-style building, the polished interior, and the green scenery through the windows, there was fun in simply enjoying the space while eating. 😍 Overall, the food's seasoning was never overdone — everything was deliciously light. 👍

This Haeundae favorite, Bueokgan, offers ✨ corkage-free service for up to 3 bottles, with a ₩15,000 per-bottle fee from the 4th bottle onward, making it a Haeundae corkage-free restaurant worth remembering if you're planning a meal with wine — a solid choice among Haeundae Chinese restaurants.
