Philly cheesesteak sandwich and chili cheese fries: Daily Fix, Gwanak

It's been a while since I posted a food review. The weather's been so hot that cooking at home just felt like too much effort. So I went looking for something delicious and burgers came to mind — I headed to Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance, a Sharosu-gil favorite, with a friend!

Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance: location and hours

This Sharosu-gil favorite was really easy to find. It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seoul National University Entrance Station on Line 2! Thanks to that, I made it inside before the heat even got to me.

Hours are daily 10:30–24:00. Since it's open from early lunch all the way to late night, you can drop by whenever you want to eat!

Since it's right near the entrance of Sharosu-gil, the store was easy to spot too — there's a huge sign that just says BURGER, so there's no way you'd walk past it! Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance is great for solo dining, and there are even chairs set up outside so you can eat outdoors.

Make Life Tastier! If eating at Daily Fix means living a tastier life, I'd eat here every single day...

What's the interior and seating like?

The inside of Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance is pleasant. As far as I know the store hasn't been open long, so the interior is clean and well arranged. There's seating for 2 to 4, and you can push tables together for up to 6, so it's a good spot to bring a group of friends.

Air conditioning is a must in the sweltering summer... walking in and feeling how cool it was inside was such a relief, and the fact that the AC breeze hit right where we sat made it even better.

This Sharosu-gil favorite really has a wide range of menu items.

From the classic burger to a cheese burger, chicken burger, truffle mushroom burger, Hawaiian burger, and even a Philly cheesesteak sandwich — they've got it all!

There's a wide range of side dishes too — fried eggplant, fries, onion rings, coleslaw, veggie sticks, and more! They also sell chicken separately.

Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance sells soda with free refills, which I loved! They also sell beer, so for an evening solo meal, I'd recommend pairing it with a glass of beer.

So what did we order...?

At this restaurant that's great for solo dining, after ordering and a short wait, the drinks came out first — water is available on request, so if you need water just ask for it separately!

Chili cheese fries

The first thing to arrive was the chili cheese fries! I debated between this and the bacon cheese fries, but I was craving something spicy today so I went with the chili cheese fries!

Doesn't it look amazing even just from the photo? There's plenty of cheese and it's fried potato, so it could easily be heavy, but the chili cut right through that and I was able to eat it without feeling greasy at all!

Double cheese burger

This is the double cheese burger my friend ordered! Multiple thick patties, loads of cheese, and look at that juice dripping out... it was genuinely delicious.

Philly cheesesteak sandwich

Last up is the Philly cheesesteak sandwich I ordered. I used to eat these a lot back in the day but they got hard to find, so it brought back memories and I had to order it.

I took a group shot of everything together, and somehow the fries ended up stealing the show.

Took a shot with the drink too, and honestly writing this now is making me want to eat it all over again...

How's the Hanwoo patty and bread?

At this Sharosu-gil favorite, they apparently make their patties fresh every day with 100% Hanwoo (Korean beef). Maybe that's why the burgers were so good — a completely different level from factory-made patties.

And then there's the Philly cheesesteak sandwich — it had a nice amount of grilled vegetables in it, and honestly the bread was so good I wanted to buy just the bread on its own. The combo of cheese and meat was fantastic too... it was so good.

It was so good that I lost track of time eating and finished every last bit... honestly, no matter how good fries are, I usually leave some behind, but maybe because this is such a Sharosu-gil favorite, I ate every last bit of chili cheese seasoning too.

That was my visit to Daily Fix Seoul National University Entrance, a Sharosu-gil favorite — the store is clean, the staff are kind, and above all the burgers and fries are so good that while it's great to go with friends, it also feels like a great spot for solo dining near Seoul National University Entrance!
