Jongno pocha bar for round two with jjapaguri: Nogari Superette
In short
Nogari Superette Jongno5-ga (노가리슈퍼 종로5가점) is a nogari (dried pollack) pocha-style bar a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Jongno5-ga Station in Jongno, Seoul. Stopping in for a second round with friends, the writer ordered hwangdo (canned yellow peaches) and jjapaguri, and the generous portion and perfectly cooked noodles ruined any plan for a quick bite. With dried snacks, stews and ramyeon on the menu plus group tables and room-like corners, Nogari Superette works well as a round-two bar.

🍻 Nogari Pocha Jongno5-ga / ⏰ Hours Mon–Sat 17:00–24:00 (closed every Sunday) / 📌 Location 286m from Jongno5-ga Station Exit 1
Today I'm reviewing Nogari Superette in Jongno5-ga! My friends and I were looking for a place for a simple second round of drinks, and this spot looked like it had a good vibe and a wide range of side dishes, so we checked it out. I planned to eat light since it was round two, but the food was so much better than expected that I ended up eating way more than planned haha. So here's my review of this Jongno5-ga bar, Nogari Superette~! 🤩
Where is Nogari Superette Jongno5-ga, and what is the bar like?

Nogari Superette is about a 5-minute walk from Jongno5-ga Station. The exterior has such a distinct Nogari Superette vibe that it wasn't hard to find at all haha.

Going inside, there was seating right near the entrance too.

Going a bit further in, there was a room-like space, and more seats with great atmosphere further inside. There were also group tables, so it seemed like a good spot for visiting with friends or coworkers as a group.

And the bathroom — which honestly matters a lot when you're drinking! It was kept really clean, so I got to use it comfortably. 👍
What anju is on the menu, and how does QR ordering work?

The menu at Nogari Superette Jongno5-ga was way more varied than I expected! From dried snacks to mains, stews, and sides, plus drinks ranging from soju and beer to highballs — it was great being able to pick food and drinks to match my mood haha.

You order by scanning the QR code at your table with your phone!
How to get the 10% weekday discount

On weekdays, if you make a Naver reservation and arrive before 6:30pm, you get 10% off — worth noting! If you're planning to visit, reserving ahead and going early seems like a good move haha.
Hwangdo and jjapaguri: how they worked as round-two food

Once you order, shrimp chips come out as a complimentary side! Am I the only one who loves bars that give you shrimp chips? 🫶 As we drank and kept picking at them one by one, my hand just kept reaching back for more haha.
Hwangdo (canned yellow peaches)

First up, the canned peaches we ordered arrived! Canned peaches basically can't taste bad haha. They served them super chilled, so it was refreshing and delicious. Taking a bite of cold peach between drinks totally cleans your palate haha.
Jjapaguri (ramyeon mixed with Chapagetti noodles)

Am I the only one who craves carbs on round two...? Not even round one, but round two, and suddenly I wanted a huge pile of carbs, so I ordered jjapaguri (black bean and spicy noodle mix). But when it arrived, the portion was way bigger than I expected...! The visuals alone won me over.

And the taste? No notes, pass with flying colors! Chef, are you a ramyeon PhD or something...? The noodles were cooked to absolute perfection!

Alternating between the peaches and the jjapaguri gave us the perfect sweet-and-salty combo!

Going back and forth between food and drinks, we really scraped the plates clean. Getting pleasantly tipsy was just a bonus haha. We came for a simple round two but ended up eating way more deliciously than expected haha.
The corner of Nogari Superette that sells snacks and ice cream

On our way out, I noticed they also sell snacks and ice cream in one corner of the shop! Isn't grabbing an ice cream at the very end of a drinking night kind of an unwritten rule? haha. The perfect finish to dessert too 🩵. Another delicious meal today! 😍
