I ordered the individual poke + soup set at Olla Poke. The shrimp in the garlic shrimp poke was wonderfully springy and had no fishy taste at all, which I loved.

The recommended garlic mayo dressing blended smoothly with the fresh ingredients, and the pairing was excellent.

There were not many reviews of the soup, so I hesitated a little, but there was no need—it was so smooth, nutty, and delicious, and it paired perfectly with the poke. Having it when the poke might otherwise start to feel repetitive made everything go down so easily and taste even better. The combination was better than expected, so I highly recommend trying it as a set.

My favorite thing about Olla Poke was being able to customize the ratio of rice to salad yourself.
