They made it super fast after we ordered and it came right out. The extra whipped cream we ordered was generously piled on, which was so nice :) I wanted to taste the castella's true flavor too, so I tried the original. And the chocolate whipped cream castella was really packed full~~~~ of chocolate cream.

Castella soft enough for a toddler with mouth ulcers

Jinsim Castella comes in neat packaging, which makes it great as a kids' snack but also as a gift. They even do bulk bakery orders, so it'd be a great Children's Day gift for a daycare center too — the teachers would love it! My kid smelled it from across the room and said 'bread smell~ I love it!' and asked to have it right away, haha. My child couldn't eat rice properly because their mouth hurt from the ulcers, but they really ate a lot of this soft castella, ugh 👍🏻

The size is... truly a giant castella!! Not just big but really thick too~ Amazing value for the price. And it's not just big — the flavor is just as overwhelming as the size!

Jinsim Castella original, 8,700 won: how it tastes

A healthy kids' snack made with antibiotic-free eggs~ The original castella was mild and not too sweet, truly gentle enough for a kid to eat. It was soft and fluffy but had a satisfying chewy texture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chocolate whipped cream castella, 9,700 won: a treat for adults

A chocolate castella packed full of sweet chocolate balls! We ordered it with extra chocolate cream added to maximize the sweetness! If the original castella's sweetness is level 1, the chocolate castella's is more like level 3!? If you want even more intense sweetness, you could choose salted caramel or Lotus for the extra cream!

The chocolate cream is packed in so thick that when you cut into it, the cream layer is as thick as the cake itself. It was the perfect ratio of cream, so I really enjoyed it. I gave the original to my kid as a snack, and I kept the chocolate whipped cream one for myself! Since it's so big, even half a slice fills you up, so it's perfect to have a simple coffee and a piece of castella in the morning. I genuinely recommend Jinsim Castella — enjoy it with your kids without worry 💛 I'd definitely visit again.
