I heard there was a bar near Sadang Station where the food comes out as a course, so I went with friends—and was so pleased I had to share 😃

Even the restroom was totally retro, with old pictorial posters and old-school sayings on the walls. So many memories came flooding back, hahaha

They even had barley tea (?) in an old Del Monte bottle.

Once you order, the course starts coming right away, and these six dishes arrived first. The juk (rice porridge) was nutty and great for settling your stomach before drinking.

Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles)!

The seasoned odolppyeo (spicy chicken cartilage) was insanely good! It had a spicy flavor that kept me reaching for more 😬 The soft tofu was so smooth it just slid right down,,😮

The pink sausage was a nostalgic taste I hadn’t had in ages.

The soy sauce marinated crab here was the real kick,,🦀

Seventh was steamed shellfish! There were all kinds of shellfish, squid, and king prawns, laid over a bed of chives.

And we ordered soju and beer.

I put the chicken cartilage on rice balls, and the soy sauce marinated crab wasn’t salty at all—the meat was so tender and delicious haha

Eighth was chive pancake. Maybe they didn’t use much frying mix, because it tore into small pieces and was easy to eat.

Ninth, the long-awaited sashimi! It was fresh, but wrapped with white kimchi and roasted seaweed, it was ridiculously delicious 🥹 From this point on, I was so full I couldn’t properly eat the next dishes hahaha

The 10th dish, fried fish, had no bones and was super tender! Then came the 11th, smoked duck 🦆

The 12th dish, pork cutlet, came out freshly fried and crispy—such a rice thief when eaten with rice 🍚 But because of the being-too-full situation, I couldn’t eat much of it either 🤣

Thirteenth was soup! If this had come a little earlier, I would have drunk more soju,,, haha. The broth was so spicy and refreshing, perfect with soju; the second I tasted it, I thought, “Wow,, so refreshing.” Hahaha. My friends kept saying, “Why is this broth so refreshing?” too.

Fourteenth was bossam (boiled pork wraps)~~ The meat was so tender, a perfect match for drinks haha. There was no smell either.

The final finish was peaches! I thought my stomach was going to burst by then hahaha. I only ate half and left the rest haha. Every single dish at Jindallae Silbi near Sadang Station was delicious, which made me even more satisfied 😬
