On the way to Sejong Lake Park, we had a great time playing in the sand playground and took a walk around the park, too. Now it was time for a delicious lunch, then home for nap time~

These days, kindergarten no longer has nap time, so my little one knows she can play until evening without one, haha. If she does not play her heart out in the morning, the afternoon turns into her trying to hang on, and it is such a hard time for both of us. How our family spends weekend mornings is very, very important these days!

Easy parking and access with kids
Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch has a spacious underground parking garage, which makes it great to visit with kids~ When you head out for weekend lunch and end up circling around because there is nowhere to park, everyone is tired before eating...

We parked underground with our child for pho, then zipped up to the third floor in the elevator~ This kind of route is so nice, right? An indoor route where you can easily get around with a stroller or baby carrier!!!

That easy route is another reason Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch in Eojin-dong is a great Sejong Lake Park restaurant to visit with kids.

A spacious restaurant with high chairs and group seating
The restaurant is spacious, with even more seating inside. There is plenty of room between tables, and the tables themselves are large, so it is nice to sit and eat comfortably. You can bring over whatever you need from the self-service bar, including iced water and children’s forks~ The seats are nice, but the flow through the restaurant is good, too.
There is seating farther inside as well, so it works for group gatherings or several families getting together. You know how it is with kids: lining them up along a wall like this, while Mom sits at the end to feed them, is so convenient, haha. Honestly, places like this can be more comfortable with kids than separate chairs.
From four-person tables to group seating, it is also great for several people to order a variety of dishes and share them~

There are plenty of high chairs, too!

Table ordering and the basic setup
You can order on the table tablet, and there is also a separate menu, so it is easy to look through. Once you sit at your assigned table, they set everything up for you. Pickled radish, sauces, and so on—and jasmine tea comes in a pretty teapot and teacups! When you order pho, they also bring pickled onions and sauces.

Make sure to reserve through Naver before visiting, because they give you a drink coupon! On weekday lunch hours, it is a popular restaurant with nearby office workers, so there can be a wait!
The Mekong Thai Set and a full pho spread
My absolute favorite is the Mekong Thai Set!!! Ah, I love it so much~ I love this kind of variety sampler! There are so many different things, and they are all delicious!!!

Of course, tom yum noodles and beef pho are the basics. Must-haves. Especially at Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch, cilantro is free!!! It is complimentary, and if you ask for plenty according to your taste, they pile it on! So many places charge extra for cilantro these days...

With the table full of food, we enjoyed a fun weekend lunch~ Yoo-hoo~!

Vietnamese wraps and fried rice with a child
My little one found the Vietnamese wraps fascinating—was she picking out pho noodles? These days, she gets very interested in all kinds of foods as long as she can eat them and they are not spicy. That is another reason Mekong Thai is nice: we can eat distinctive foods with her that we do not experience at home!

Ahh~ Warming up with pho broth is just the universal rule, right?

The beef pho, with its rich, delicious broth and plenty of tender beef, is good to eat with kids, too! And if you want to make sure your child has a meal, there is pineapple fried rice with lots of sweet pineapple, beef, shrimp, onion, and egg!
Oh! I love the pho noodles, but my little one absolutely loves the tea served as an appetizer! I think the teacup must have completely won her over~

We ate so well! Now let’s go home, take a nice long nap, and wake up refreshed~ haha. If a warm bowl of soup sounds good after a Sejong Lake Park picnic or walk, I recommend Mekong Thai in Eojin-dong!
