Looking for a generous sushi platter in Sodam-dong
I visited Sushi Resto Sejong Sodam Main Branch while looking for a sushi restaurant in Sodam-dong where I could really feast 🍣🤍 With such a varied selection of sushi and such a generous platter, it felt like a great choice for a family meal or date night too! The sashimi was fresh and the value was excellent, so here’s my review of this sushi spot near Sejong City Hall :)

A spacious dining room and tablet ordering
Sushi Resto Sejong Sodam Main Branch was clean and spacious.

It’s located in Icom Star City in Sodam-dong, and parking registration is available too ✨ Decorated mainly in white and wood tones, it had the comfortable atmosphere you’d expect from a sushi restaurant. The tables were nicely spaced out, so it didn’t feel cramped either, haha.

Along with regular tables, there are bar-style seats, so it looked suitable whether you’re dining with a group or eating alone. Each table has a tablet, which made it easy to browse the menu and order without having to call over a staff member :)

What comes with the 26-piece Family Sushi platter?
The Family Sushi (26 pieces) was ₩36,000. I visited with my mom, and it looked like just the right amount for the two of us, haha.

With 26 pieces of sushi plus two salads and two mini udon, it was truly generous for two people! 💝 The assortment included the day’s live fish, tuna, raw salmon, seared salmon, raw shrimp, scallop, whelk, garlic shrimp, egg, and tofu skin sushi. The selection may change a little depending on ingredient availability, so keep that in mind when you visit!

The huge platter arrived completely filled with sushi—doesn’t it look so appetizing already? 🥹💗 Rather than repeating just a few kinds, the Family Sushi platter lets you try everything from fish and shrimp to shellfish, egg, and tofu skin sushi, which was its biggest appeal.

The salad had crisp cabbage topped generously with a nutty dressing, making it nice to have between bites of sushi :) When you’re eating sushi, you sometimes start craving something warm and brothy, and the mini udon included in the set was perfect for that, haha.

Thick fresh fish and tender tuna sushi
The thing I care about most is, of course, the freshness of the sashimi! The live fish sushi, including flounder, had moist yet pleasantly chewy fish with a clean flavor and no fishiness. The slices weren’t too thin either—they were nicely thick, so I could really enjoy the texture and flavor with every bite :)

The tuna sushi looked delicious from its vivid color alone, and I loved how softly it went down. I think a sushi restaurant makes you want to return when even its basic fish sushi is good, haha.

A varied sushi selection that stayed interesting to the end
Another thing I personally liked was being able to alternate between so many kinds of sushi! After the light live fish sushi, I could have the savory scallop and whelk sushi, then egg and tofu skin sushi in between, so I never got tired of it. I’d recommend the seared salmon sushi too 🧡 Its lightly cooked salmon had that soft, rich flavor, enhanced with sauce and toppings, giving it a different charm from raw salmon 🤤 There was even meat sushi in the set, which made it feel much more varied than an assortment with only sashimi-based sushi!

The restaurant was spacious and clean, so I could eat comfortably—I recommend it if you’re looking for great sushi in Sodam-dong 🤍 If you want fresh sushi and a varied selection in Sejong, try Sushi Resto Sejong Sodam Main Branch 🍣✨
