Beef soup restaurant in Gasan, Seoul with free broth refills: Yukhwang
In short
Yukhwang is a new gomtang (beef bone soup) and suyuk (sliced boiled beef) restaurant on the first floor of Hanra One&One Tower Building A, by Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. One order of gomtang costs 13,000 won and arrives with the rice already in the bowl plus free broth refills, while a half plate of suyuk is 15,000 won and yukhoe (beef tartare) is 27,000 won. Nothing on the table is an acquired taste, so Yukhwang works well for a group dinner near Gasan Digital Complex.

Hey everyone, it's Yuttosul ^0^ I just finished my health checkup and I'm on a total food rampage now, nobody can stop me. Word got out that a new gomtang (beef bone soup) place opened in Gasan Digital Complex 🥰 As a devoted white-broth lover, there was no way I could skip it.

Gomtang, suyuk, and yukhoe (beef tartare) all together while the soju keeps flowing — how does that sound for a Gasan Digital Complex group dinner?
Where is Yukhwang, and what are the hours and parking?
Yukhwang is located at 101 Gasan Digital 2-ro, Hanra One&One Tower Building A, 1st floor, Unit 121, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. It's an easy walk from Gasan Digital Complex Station.

- Hours: Mon–Fri 11:00–21:00 / Sat 11:00–16:00 / closed Sundays

Yukhwang's interior isn't huge, but the tables are spacious and well spaced out, which makes it a good fit for groups 🙂 That's probably why most tables were groups or work dinners when I visited. There was even a wait?? I'd recommend getting there before 7pm!
Yukhwang menu and prices
Yukhwang's menu includes gomtang at ₩13,000, a half plate of suyuk at ₩15,000, yukhoe at ₩27,000, and soju at ₩5,000. I spent more than five minutes debating suyuk hot pot plus kalguksu (knife-cut noodles)... but since it was my first visit, I wanted to try everything, so I ordered a bunch.

Since it was evening and everyone was drinking, I noticed a lot of people ordering the suyuk hot pot or gopchang (grilled intestines) hot pot.
And check out the back of the menu — a Naver review event jackpot. The prize item is a half plate of suyuk... wait, really? I'm definitely joining the review event next time.

Side dishes and table setting at Yukhwang
Every table at Yukhwang comes stocked with dadaegi (spicy soup seasoning) for gomtang or hot pot, salt, pepper, and paper cups. The dadaegi had a nice spicy kick and was pretty tasty.

The basic side dishes were seokbakji (radish kimchi), lettuce salad, and nakji-jeot (seasoned raw octopus). Just looking at the sides made my mouth water. The lettuce salad was fresh and tangy, and the seokbakji was neatly cut.

Isn't soju basically a basic side dish for this kind of spread too? And the water wasn't plain water but tea, hehe.
Gomtang, 13,000 won: rice in the bowl and free broth refills
Yukhwang's gomtang comes in a perfectly clear white broth. I'm firmly on Team White Broth. It arrives with the rice already added into the soup, plus a generous amount of meat and radish. It tastes clean and refreshing, kind of like a beef and radish soup 👍

The meat in the gomtang is so tender. Topped with a bit of nakji-jeot, one bite confirms it's delicious. If you love clean, simple flavors, I recommend this as a Gasan Digital Complex lunch spot. (Psst) I thought only the hot pot broth was refillable, but turns out the gomtang broth is too. What a great restaurant ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ hehe.

Half plate of suyuk, 15,000 won: the dipping sauce makes it
Yukhwang's half plate of suyuk comes with a dipping sauce on the side.

The meat itself is fairly mild, so dipping it in the sauce makes it about 4.7 times more delicious. Wrap it with lettuce and perilla leaves and honestly, need I say more — the soju just flows.

Yukhoe, 27,000 won: fresh even at dinner, but on the sweet side
Yukhwang's yukhoe (beef tartare) looks gorgeous. It comes with a sauce made of sesame oil, gochujang, and minced garlic, along with seaweed, pear, chives, and pickled radish.

Warm-up's done, let's dig in. Time to pop that egg yolk on top of the yukhoe.

A standard first bite, and wow, so good. Even though it was evening, the yukhoe was completely fresh and delicious. It's a bit on the sweeter side, so if you don't like sweet flavors, keep that in mind.

It paired really well with the drinks. I haven't had yukhoe often in Gasan Digital Complex, but this one was pretty solid.

I love a gomtang place with refillable broth. Broth really should be served piping hot.

Is Yukhwang a good group dinner spot in Gasan?
An empty bowl worth bragging about ㅋ.ㅋ I ordered three whole menu items at Yukhwang, and I think the flavors don't lean too far in any one direction so most people would like them 😘 Since it seems unlikely to get a lot of thumbs down even with a big group, I highly recommend Yukhwang as a Gasan Digital Complex group dinner spot. It's Friday night — how about finding a good Gasan Digital Complex restaurant and grabbing a drink?
