There were also various course menus like 2-person sharing menus, dinner menus, sushi courses, and drink-and-food set menus. With dinner à la carte items and soup dishes too, it seemed like a good place for a light drink after work in the evening. (The drink selection was quite extensive.)

Inside Gapposo: seating and interior

Inside Gapposo there were 2-seat and 4-seat tables as well as comfortable sofa seating. The atmosphere was nice, so I thought it would also be a great date spot.

Appetizer porridge and udon

It's perfect for cleansing the palate before sushi.

Udon served with the Gapposo Special

Udon that comes with the Gapposo Special menu!

Sushi just isn't complete without udon. It's a perfectly sized portion for a taste.

Gapposo Special for two, sushi composition

The sushi composition of the Gapposo Special at this Gasan Digital Complex sushi restaurant included salmon, flounder, red sea bream, tuna, spicy tuna mayo, shrimp, uni, eel, fried tofu pouch, futomaki, and something I couldn't quite place — maybe octopus with wasabi (?). It's apparently the restaurant's best-selling menu.

Close-up of Gapposo Special sushi

The moment I saw the Gapposo Special sushi, my jaw dropped at how good it looked. Every piece was worth trying, so it was fun picking through the variety. I especially don't like egg sushi, so I was happy there wasn't any.

Flounder sushi and shrimp sushi at Gapposo

Flounder and shrimp sushi

The flounder sushi had a clean, light flavor I liked. Flounder sushi is the foundation of sushi.

The shrimp had a lively, plump texture, and dipped in soy sauce it was delicious even without wasabi. It's shrimp season right now so I was craving it, and this shrimp sushi was so good.

Salmon sushi at Gapposo

Salmon and tuna sushi

The salmon sushi at this Gasan Digital Complex sushi restaurant was soft and moist with a subtle savory richness.

Tuna sushi at Gapposo

The tuna melted smoothly in my mouth with a deep, distinct umami flavor that was especially satisfying. The tuna truly dissolves the moment it hits your mouth.

Eel sushi at Gapposo

Eel sushi, and the fried tofu sushi that fell flat

The eel sushi combined a sweet-savory sauce with a soft, fluffy texture for a uniquely delicious bite. Having fried tofu sushi in the mix was a bit of a letdown. But since everything else was so good, I think one piece of fried tofu sushi is fine.

The Gapposo Special at this Gasan Digital Complex sushi restaurant let us enjoy a wide variety of sushi evenly, making for an overall satisfying and well-rounded sushi set. It's perfect for a lunch menu and also great for a light drink in the evening.

Table notice and review event info at Gapposo

— Eel rice bowl, tempura rice bowl, sashimi rice bowl, and cold udon don't come with soy sauce. Also, Gapposo is running a Naver receipt review event. Write a review and you get a free canned drink.

Is Gapposo worth it for a lunch with a friend?

After a long while, meeting a friend for great sushi and lots of conversation made for a wonderful time. There was so much variety in the sushi that it was fun picking through one by one, and the overall taste was good, making it a satisfying meal. Catching up with a friend over good food made it even more enjoyable.

Both the composition and the flavor were satisfying, so I'd like to stop by again next time I'm nearby. Next time I'll have to order the sashimi and omakase menus I didn't get to try this time.

If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant near Gasan Digital Complex, I'd recommend giving Gapposo a visit.
