Euljiro3-ga restaurant with the fish menu sold out: Pyu Euljiro
In short
Pyu Euljiro is a 70-pyeong contemporary dining restaurant on Mareun-nae-ro near Euljiro3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Over dinner with a friend, the writer drank Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri beer and shared bisque pasta and grilled chicken thigh, while the fish dishes, including the mackerel pasta, were sold out for the day. With wide gaps between tables and no break time, Pyu Euljiro works well for a blind date, a group get-together or an evening date course in Euljiro.

I went to Pyu (PHEW) Euljiro, a contemporary dining restaurant in Euljiro.
What kind of restaurant is Pyu Euljiro?
Pyu Euljiro is a large, 70-pyeong dining space right in the middle of Euljiro. It runs all day with no break time, so you can have your meal, dessert, and wine all in one place.

First shot of the stand-up menu board out front. You could preview pasta, risotto, and main dishes in photos.
Dinner drink rule, corkage and parking at Pyu Euljiro

At Pyu Euljiro, ordering alcohol is required for dinner! (Corkage is free for one bottle, ₩20,000 per bottle after that.) Parking is in the basement of the building, and the first hour is free! (₩6,000 per hour after that, no valet.)

How are the seats laid out inside?
Going left from the entrance, you get to the space you see here! There were a lot of private rooms on the right side.

There are also sofa seats like this!!

The inside has floor-to-ceiling windows so the lighting is great, and the bar seats and tables are spaced out generously.

There was a welcome card with the reservation name on the table. It's always so nice when a restaurant does this!!

The cutlery setting was neat too, with glasses and forks and knives already set at each seat.
Pyu Euljiro menu and prices

We sat down and opened up the menu. The 2-person share set is ₩99,000, and it comes with pasta and a main course together.

The pasta, risotto, and main dishes page. Mackerel pasta ₩30,000, ragu pasta ₩25,000, striploin steak ₩54,000!!! There was so much I wanted to eat. I heard the mackerel pasta is especially good, but it was sold out :( Maybe because we went in the evening, every fish dish had run out of ingredients 😭

Had to console myself somehow. There's a separate drinks menu too, with coffee, juice, ades, blended teas, and wine — quite a variety.
Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri beer, poured into a chilled glass

We picked the Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri (Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-law) beer!!! It's described as a clean, smooth beer with caramel and toasty cookie notes, but it felt a bit like a dark beer to me. I was also torn over a refreshing ale for a minute. My friend arrived a little late, so I ordered first and they brought my beer right away. But once she showed up, the staff swapped it out for a colder one. That kind of attention to detail moves a beer lover like me 😭

Bisque pasta and grilled chicken thigh
The bisque pasta came out first. It's a pasta made with a richly reduced shrimp sauce topped with an elegant champagne foam, meant to carry the flavor of the deep sea!! The noodles were nicely chewy and the shrimp were plump and well cooked, and it went great with the craft beer.

The portion wasn't huge, so it was just the right size to split between two. Actually, looking at the photo again, I want more.

The grilled chicken thigh came out together with it, and the plating with frisée and herbs made the whole dish look pretty.

The meat was moist inside and browned nicely on the outside, and the sauce was salty with a subtle pull that kept making us go back for more. And as we ate, we realized there was actually a lot of meat!!! We got so full haha (At first I wondered if these two dishes would be enough for us. Luckily my friend said she's dieting. Which, honestly, worked out great for me.)

How does Pyu Euljiro work for a blind date or a group dinner?
Got a shot of the vibe here haha. I really, really recommend this place. The distance between seats was so nice too!! Sure enough, there were groups of women, blind dates, and couples on dates all around us haha. I got to meet up with a close friend after a while and had a quiet, good time catching up on everything haha.
Final verdict on Pyu Euljiro

It was surprising to find such a spacious, quiet dining spot right in the middle of Euljiro. Being able to sit for as long as you want with no break time was a plus, and it was a good option for an Euljiro date course. Most of all, the food was delicious 🙏🏻
