Seonyudo burger restaurant with a smoky broccoli side: BAS Burger

In short

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a burger restaurant right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. On a late weekday lunch we ordered the Hawaiian Burger Combo at 12,600 won and Smoky Bacon Grillz at 6,400 won, a flame-kissed broccoli side topped with parmesan and bacon, alongside the sweet-and-salty Hawaiian burger. With free James-gam potato chips for dine-in guests, BAS Burger Seonyudo fills you up even without a full set.

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo? Right outside Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a burger restaurant you spot the moment you step out of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station. It's usually packed with nearby office workers at lunchtime, but I visited during a late weekday lunch.

Let's find out whether it really lives up to being a Seonyudo Station favorite.

What we ordered: Hawaiian Burger Combo and Smoky Bacon Grillz

Today's order 📝

  • ✔️ Hawaiian Burger Combo ₩12,600
  • ✔️ Smoky Bacon Grillz ₩6,400

Order placed!! On the menu structure: a burger combo is burger + drink, while a burger set is burger + fries + drink. The set is definitely cheaper than ordering items separately~

It was surprising that you can swap the regular bun out for lettuce instead! I liked that they let you remove various ingredients too. I'm not a picky eater at all, so I kept everything, including the regular bun~~^^

You can order and pay right at the kiosk on each table 👍 Not long after waiting, a little chime rang to let me know the food was ready, and I picked it up myself,,

How does the Smoky Bacon Grillz broccoli side taste?

🍔The Hawaiian burger is made with two pieces of pineapple, bacon, a patty, and butterhead lettuce, and it has a slightly spicy sauce running through it~ Seeing that it's made with BAS sauce, this must be their own special house sauce.

The dish I was especially curious about was 🥦the Smoky Bacon Grillz — apparently it's broccoli grilled with a smoky char and topped with bacon and parmesan, a pretty unusual dish. It hit my taste buds exactly right~~~ It goes perfectly with the mayonnaise dip. The charred broccoli had a much better texture than blanched broccoli, and the combo with salty parmesan cheese and bacon was the best 👍 If you like broccoli, I recommend it 💚 Crunchy, nutty, and savory-salty!

The Hawaiian burger is also the textbook definition of sweet-and-salty!! I already love Hawaiian burgers in general, but this one is clearly tastier for being handmade 👍👍 There's a hint of pepper aroma too, and the butterhead lettuce is nice and fresh~~ 🥬

The burger bun is sweet~ The burger size is just right — not too big, not too small!!

Free James-gam potato chips at the self-serve bar

I couldn't bring myself to order a set for fear of getting too full, but right when I was craving potato chips, the self-serve bar caught my eye!!

These are called James-gam!! A basket full of potato chips~ set on a warmer, and offered free for dine-in customers only. I ate them crunchy and delicious!

Sparkling water chosen as the drink option

I also sipped on the sparkling water I chose as my drink option throughout the meal. Having sparkling water on hand made it even more satisfying 🩵 While I ate, takeout customers and delivery riders kept coming in and out. Seems like this really is a neighborhood-famous burger spot.

There's a kids' menu too, with a sweet teriyaki sauce and a cute drink for children. Plus, the charm point here is that you can choose toppings like vegetables and tomato as you like 😍 I'll have to come back again with the kids~
