Seonyudo Station burger set for two with a mozza cheese bar: BAS

Today I'm sharing my review of BAS Burger Seonyudo. BAS Burger is actually a chain with several branches, and the burgers here are seriously good!!!! I'd been to the Yeouido branch before but this was my first time at Seonyudo. Turns out Seonyudo does it well too~!!! Big recommend for BAS Burger!!!

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo and what are the hours?

BAS Burger Seonyudo is on the 1st floor of 118-1 Yangpyeong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, right in front of Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station. It's open daily from 8:00 to 21:30, with last order at 21:00.

How to walk from Seonyudo Station Exit 4, and what the shop looks like

BAS Burger Seonyudo comes into view right as you exit Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station. No need to look around at all — the second you come out of Exit 4, look left.

And there it is, the shop with the BAS Burger sign haha.

Inside BAS Burger Seonyudo: is solo dining comfortable?

The inside of BAS Burger Seonyudo feels like a foreign bar, so it works for a date, and there are also tables where you can sit alone, so solo dining and solo drinking are both fine.

BAS Burger has this foreign-feeling? like a foreign pub or restaurant vibe interior. It's not super flashy, but oh~ it has atmosphere, doesn't it? Good for a date, I thought. Maybe that's why the table next to me, and the one next to that, and the one next to that were all — literally all — couples ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Ah! There were also people enjoying a burger and beer solo. I liked that there were tables for sitting alone.

Sauce list at BAS Burger: which are free and which cost extra

At BAS Burger Seonyudo you can help yourself to as much sauce as you want, and it's individually packaged so it's hygienic. The free sauces are the BAS Burger house sauce, pollack roe mayo, BBQ sauce, ranch sauce, honey mustard, and ketchup.

BAS Burger surprisingly let you take as much sauce as you liked. And it's individually packaged, so it's even hygienic!! The sauce options were BAS Burger house sauce, pollack roe mayo, BBQ sauce, ranch sauce, honey mustard, and ketchup, plus a cheongyang pepper red mayo dip sauce and truffle mayo dip sauce that cost extra.

Unlimited potato chip refills: how do they work?

The chips at BAS Burger Seonyudo are unlimited refill in-store. You can scoop as much as you want onto a paper plate next to it, and since they keep frying fresh batches, you can eat them warm. To-go packs cost ₩2,500 a bag.

This was my favorite part — the unlimited chip refill!!!! You could scoop as much as you wanted onto the paper plate next to it, and since they keep frying more, you get to eat them warm. The chips have real thickness so they're super crunchy. They also sell them packaged — one bag for ₩2,500. The chips taste great dipped in ketchup, but other people were twisting some kind of pepper-mill-looking thing over them. I didn't try it myself so I'm not sure, but it's probably pepper or salt.

Two BAS Burger sets and a mozza cheese bar: what it all cost

I ordered two BAS Burger sets, swapped the fries on one for sweet potato fries, and added a mozza cheese bar. The BAS Burger set is ₩12,100, the sweet potato fries swap is +₩1,500, and the mozza cheese bar is ₩3,300 each.

Sweet potato fries with ranch sauce at BAS Burger

Gotta try the sweet potato fries first! Personally I think sweet potato fries are BAS Burger's signature item. There are barely any places that sell these, and yet they're this good!!! The owner recommended ranch sauce as the best match for the sweet potato fries. He also let me know that pollack roe mayo is the sauce women like best, haha... so thoughtful of him.

Swapping the bun for cabbage at BAS Burger

You could swap the bun for cabbage, but my motto is: if I'm going to eat something fattening, I'll eat it and enjoy it — so I kept the bun. Quality-wise it was barely different from Shake Shack. The fries were freshly fried too, so crispy ㅠㅠ genuinely delicious.

This is the chips you can scoop unlimited amounts of — can you see the thickness? Is it even allowed for free-refill chips to have this kind of quality~

Is the mozza cheese bar worth ordering?

The mozza cheese bar was tasty, but pretty ordinary compared to everything else. At ₩3,300 it's not exactly expensive, but did I need it? Probably wouldn't order it again. I felt like it'd be better to either order two burgers or just add more varied toppings to one burger instead.

Where to go after eating at BAS Burger Seonyudo

Big recommend for BAS Burger Seonyudo. There's a bridge right from Seonyudo Station that leads straight over to Yanghwa Hangang Park and Seonyudo Park, so I'd suggest eating at BAS Burger near Seonyudo Station and then heading to Yanghwa Hangang Park afterward~
