Seonyudo burger restaurant: Crunch Chicken 2P and 5 chip refills, BAS

A fantastic combo of handmade James Gam potato chips and the handmade BAS Burger

Today's food journal!! I really love burger restaurants, and one just opened near my house, so I went to check it out. I'd eaten there once before and remembered it being delicious, so I was excited!

Where is BAS Burger Seonyudo, and what are its hours?

BAS Burger Seonyudo is on the first floor of 118-1 Yangpyeong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It's open 11:00–21:30, with last order at 21:00. Delivery, takeout, reservations, and group bookings are all available, and you can pay with easy pay too.

Right outside Seonyudo Station Exit 4: the look inside and out

Walk out of Exit 4 and it's right there on your left! Accessibility, super solid... The exterior is clean and there aren't tons of tables inside, but when I went there were a lot of takeout and delivery orders, so it was fine. Each table has its own kiosk for ordering and paying! These are so convenient these days haha.

There's a takeout-only kiosk at the counter, so if you're just picking up, come straight here. Straws, wet wipes, forks, water — it's all self-serve.

There's also a sauce station, but they say it's for customers who order fried items or fries. There's BAS Burger house sauce, pollack roe mayo, BBQ, ranch, and honey mustard!

James Gam handmade potato chips: free refills, taken 5 to 6 times

Today's highlight...! The potato chips here are unlimited refill!!! There's a poster at the entrance saying feel free to help yourself to the handmade James Gam (제임스감) chips inside hahahaha. They're in a huge container and you just scoop as much as you want onto a tray! It says please use one tray per 4 people for sustainability. There's pepper next to it, plus ketchup and mayonnaise — as much as you want~!!

They really fry raw potatoes, so it's crispy, and I think I refilled about 5 to 6 times lolll. Salty and crunchy, it just keeps going in endlessly, and the combo with the burger is so good...

Here's a tip: James Gam, ketchup, mayo, etc. are all free to use, and refills and tasting are both allowed! Isn't that such a good deal...

The BAS Burger with a double patty and grilled onion added

This is the double version — the exact same basic BAS Burger but with a double patty. Delicious x2 feeling lolll. As expected, a double patty is what makes a handmade burger feel truly handmade haha. I added grilled onion to this one, and it turns out you can add or remove raw onion/grilled onion on any burger. I think that's another point that sets BAS Burger apart — such a nice detail.

The patty comes with real cheddar cheese, house sauce, butterhead lettuce, onion, and tomato. The bun is genuinely so delicious too!!

Crunch Chicken 2P: how big is it really?

Wow, I was shocked the moment I saw the chicken lolll. I had no idea it would be this big... wait, is this even right???lol The chunks are genuinely huge, the chicken is so moist, and the coating is crispy ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ It's fantastic... The sauce that came with it was also really delicious — a spicy sauce that cuts right through the richness! You have to order this.

From what I've seen, BAS Burger is really good at fried food. Besides this, I also tried what I think was mozzarella sticks before, and the batter was so crispy and salty, it seemed like it would go perfectly with beer haha. Definitely try the fried items!

I don't remember it being this delicious and satisfying the last time I ate here, but BAS Burger, I highly, highly recommend it. Value, quality, service — nothing was lacking, it was all so fantastic haha.
