Yongsan I'Park Mall ramen set with fried dumplings: Menya Seoul
In short
Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch is a ramen restaurant on the 7th floor of I'Park Mall, directly connected to Yongsan Station in Seoul. The order was the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen as a set, with a side of gunmandu (pan-fried dumplings) that were crisp outside and juicy inside, alternating well with the spicy broth. On days when one bowl of ramen is not quite enough, the Menya Seoul set plus fried dumplings makes a filling meal.

I wanted a warm bowl of ramen at Yongsan I'Park Mall, so I went to Menya Seoul. It's easy to get to since it's on the 7th floor of I'Park Mall, directly connected to Yongsan Station, and that day I was craving something spicy, so I went with the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen.

Ramen alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, so I ordered it as a set and had a side of gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) too — and the gyoza turned out so much better than I expected that I really want to recommend trying it alongside the ramen.

Where is Menya Seoul in Yongsan I'Park Mall?
Menya Seoul is a ramen restaurant on the 7th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall. The address is 7th floor, I'Park Mall, 55 Hangang-daero 23-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

It's close to Yongsan Station, so it's convenient to stop by for a meal while shopping, and if ramen comes to mind when looking for good restaurants near Yongsan Station, it's worth a visit.
What is on the menu at Menya Seoul
Menya Seoul serves a range of ramen, noodle dishes, and rice bowls. The signature items include the dongpo pork chashu ramen, along with chilled king prawn ramen, pork belly mazesoba, and sweet soy chicken rice bowl.

The prices are pretty reasonable across the menu, which was nice — there were quite a few options to choose from when looking for a place to eat in I'Park Mall.

How was the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen?
What I ordered that day was the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen. Regardless of the weather, there are days I just crave a spicy, warm broth, and that day was exactly one of those, so I went with the spicy option. The broth wasn't too heavy, more warm and easy to eat, and the spiciness really came through when eaten together with the noodles.

The dongpo pork chashu on top of the ramen was especially memorable. The softly braised pork went really well with the broth, and the meat itself was tasty, so it was fun to alternate between noodles and a bite of chashu.

What comes with the Menya Seoul ramen set
This time, instead of just having the ramen on its own, I ordered it as a set.

Eating the side dish along with the ramen definitely made for a more filling meal than just the ramen alone. And there's one menu item here I really want to recommend — the gyoza.

Why the fried dumplings are worth adding
Honestly, I didn't expect much from the side dish at a ramen restaurant, but the gyoza was really much better than I thought. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they went really well eaten alongside the ramen.

Going back and forth between the spicy ramen broth and a gyoza and then back to the ramen was a great combination. If, like me, you enjoy adding a side to your ramen, I'd definitely recommend ordering the gyoza too. Personally, out of everything I ate that day, the gyoza stuck with me quite a bit.
