A Guui Station favorite with unlimited-refill wrap greens and fresh meat: Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal.
On a weekend when I was really craving grilled pork belly, I searched around for somewhere good and found a brand-new Jayang-dong grill with a self-serve bar of all kinds of wrap greens, unlimited! And pork belly grilled on an iron lid, no less — that got me even more excited haha 😍
Where is Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal, and where do you park?

This new spot, Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal, is about a 10-minute walk from Guui Station Exit 4, on the first floor of the Jayang-dong Hanulchae Verre apartment complex's shopping strip — easy to find and neat. Parking was convenient too, with a spacious public lot nearby.

Whoa!! ₩1,900 draft beer, is that for real! This Guui Station BBQ spot also has lunch specials like a gochujang pork wrap-rice set, minari shabu kalguksu, and fried rice — seems like it would be popular!!
What's on the unlimited wrap-greens self-bar?

The place was quite spacious, with two halls separated by a wall — this Guui Station spot looked really good for gatherings, group dinners, or renting out.

There were plenty of clean silver steel tables seating four, plus generous group seating — perfect for a work dinner! During our weekend lunch visit, the place quickly filled with families out for a meal 👍
The unlimited wrap-greens and side-dish self-serve zone taking up one whole wall really caught my eye.
It's not common for a BBQ place to have such a variety of fresh seasonal vegetables delivered every dawn — as someone who loves wrapping my meat in greens, this felt exactly like my thing!!!💕
Pork and beef menu: iron lid or charcoal?

We could order easily from the tablet menu at the table. This place, Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal, sources its meat from Umiraegil Yuk, a livestock specialty company, so it's a trustworthy Jayang-dong BBQ spot that handles quality pork and beef alike!!😍

And depending on your taste, you can order your grilled meat either iron-lid or charcoal-brazier style.

Pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, frozen thin-sliced belly, plus charcoal-grilled skirt meat, pork ribs, beef short ribs, flap meat, chuck flap tail and more — Umiraegil Yuk's lineup is so varied I wanted to try one of everything.
Two servings of iron-lid pork belly with seasonal wrap greens
order 🍽 iron-lid pork belly ₩17. x 2 servings / unlimited wrap-greens self-bar / cheese-bomb steamed egg ₩5.0 / fried rice ₩3.0

We ordered the iron-lid pork belly, and soon a table full of hearty side dishes, various wrap greens and vegetables we'd gathered ourselves, and grilled mushrooms was ready. 😍
Two servings of thick, bright red, freshly cut pork belly with a great balance of lean meat and fat — looked so delicious!!

The bean sprouts, bracken, and kimchi were also warmed up and grilled together in pork fat.
I loaded up on grilling vegetables like sweet pumpkin, eggplant, and enoki mushrooms, plus fresh wrap greens like lettuce, perilla leaves, alba cabbage, dangwi (Korean angelica), and red chard.
While I was gathering wrap greens, a staff member kindly came over, grilled everything, and cut it into bite-sized pieces for us.

Delicious meat, plentiful side dishes, a fresh wrap-greens self-bar, and grilling done for you — this Guui Station, Jayang-dong BBQ place really leaves nothing to be desired!👍
The iron-lid pork belly, nicely browned outside and juicy inside, was fantastic — one bite and the juices burst out with a savory flavor. The iron lid conducts heat well, so it cooked fast without burning, which I really liked.

Being able to grill vegetables alongside the delicious pork belly made this Guui Station spot even more to my liking.😋

I dipped it plainly in salt and curry powder, ate it with the savory grilled kimchi, and wrapped it up with wild garlic greens, mustard leaf kimchi, white kimchi, marinated red pepper, and other tasty side dishes with the fresh wrap greens, to my heart's content!
Cheese-bomb steamed egg for ₩5,000

We also ordered the cheese-bomb steamed egg (gyeranjjim). Great value at ₩5,000, it felt packed with egg, and with the added cheese it was thick, moist, and savory — really tasty. 💕
Finishing with ₩3,000 fried rice

As they say, Koreans run on rice power, so we finished with this K-dessert: fried rice.

They brought out rice already pre-fried with kimchi and gim (seaweed flakes), then fried it once more sizzling hot on the iron lid — that extra step made this Guuidong spot's fried rice even tastier!!
Is this Gwangjin Korean BBQ worth it? Final thoughts
Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal is a Guui Station favorite I'd love to visit often whenever I'm craving meat. You can get both pork and beef, and since they use quality meat from Umiraegil Yuk, a livestock company, it's reassuring to eat here!! Plus, the unlimited wrap-greens self-serve zone means you can enjoy a variety of fresh vegetables to your heart's content at great value — a big plus!! 😍
