On days off, I sometimes want to head outside, but when it is hot or cold, I also want to spend time comfortably indoors. Today, I visited Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch (히어로보드게임카페 노원점), where my friend and I could play games and have snacks, too.

Since we visited on a weekday, we could use the unlimited-for-two deal for ₩5,000 per person. We could even play Nintendo Switch games, so we completely lost track of time! With such a wide variety of board games, it is a great space for everything from a date for two to a group gathering, and there were lots of game options, too.
Getting to Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch and parking

The address is 15 Sanggye-ro 3-gil, Nowon-gu, Seoul, on the third floor. Since it is on the third floor, I just went up the stairs. Parking is not available, so public transportation is more convenient than driving. It is less than a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of the station, making it a well-located place for things to do in Nowon.
Seating to choose based on your group and game

Inside, there were several types of seats to suit the game you wanted to play and the size of your group. They were divided into table seating and floor seating, so you could choose what you preferred. There was also a separate room for games such as Nintendo, so you just need to let them know when you enter.

There were spots for two people as well as spaces for larger groups. There were tables where you could spread out your games comfortably, along with game spaces that looked great for group use.

There was such a wide selection of board games that you could choose according to your tastes. They also offered recommendations at the front based on group size and preferences, so even first-time visitors could enjoy themselves without difficulty, which was nice.

There were arcade machines inside, too. They were free to use, which made them great for a quick break in the middle of playing! True to a Nowon board game café, it was a great place to enjoy all kinds of activities.
Playing Moving Out with weekday unlimited access for two

After checking the usage information, we were shown to our seats by a staff member, then chose the games we wanted and played. We used the weekday unlimited-for-two deal, and first tried Moving Out on the Nintendo Switch.

There were various game cartridges, so we could borrow whichever ones we wanted to play. The game I played had the two of us divide up roles and move things around a house. It required more coordination than I expected, so we kept laughing as we played.
Snack menu we ordered between games
We got hungry, so we ordered some snacks, too. There were so many menu items that I filmed them in a video.

For drinks, we chose Iced Chamomile and Original Iced Coffee. For easy food, we ordered Shin Ramyun, Chapagetti, and a sausage hot bar.

They were easy to eat here and there while playing, and it was a setup that did not feel burdensome even for a long stay. I came looking for things to do in Nowon, but it was convenient that we could take care of food, too.

From dates to group gatherings
For anyone looking for a board game café in Nowon, I think the fact that multiple people can enjoy it together is another big draw. You can play board games with friends or enjoy games as a group, and there are arcade machines, so you do not have to stick to just one game. It seems like a fitting space for a day when you want to enjoy various indoor activities, and it is good value, too.

Hero Board Game Cafe, where I went for things to do in Nowon, was great because the weekday unlimited-for-two deal let us enjoy Nintendo Switch games and board games at a relaxed pace. Nintendo games such as Moving Out, where you have to work together, were fun for a date, and adding snacks made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
If you are planning an indoor date, this is a good place to spend time comfortably while playing games. It is worth keeping in mind that there is varied seating and group use is possible. The arcade machines are free, so you can enjoy other games between rounds, and it was convenient to have plenty of food options. On a day when you need an indoor spot unaffected by the weather, it was a good place to drop by for a date or a relaxed time out.
