Euljiro ramen restaurant, summer-only cold tsukemen: Mentsuru

Today I want to introduce Mentsuru Euljiro Branch, a place I visited with a friend while looking for somewhere to eat in Euljiro! I usually love ramen, so while hunting for a ramen spot in Euljiro I ended up here haha.

When I looked at the menu, there was a summer-only item, and I just couldn't skip that lol. So that day we ordered everything — regular ramen, the summer-only menu, and a side dish too! Let me show you each dish we tried :)

Where is Mentsuru Euljiro Branch, and what are its hours?

Mentsuru Euljiro Branch is located at 26 Mareunnae-ro 2-gil, 1st floor, Jung-gu, Seoul, and it's open daily from 11:00 to 21:30. Last order is at 21:00.

Inside Mentsuru Euljiro Branch: is it comfortable for solo diners?

Walking in, the atmosphere felt more comfortable than I expected, so it seemed like a great spot to come eat with a friend!

It felt like a good place to drop by for a simple lunch or dinner ramen around Euljiro haha. It especially felt optimized for solo dining haha.

Mentsuru tori paitan with the spicy option added: how is it?

First up, the tori paitan I ordered! The milky broth of tori paitan looked so appetizing right away haha. I added the spicy option and took a sip of the broth first — it was spicy with that deep, rich chicken broth flavor that went so well with the ramen!

Eating the noodles together with the broth gave a nicely spicy taste, so my chopsticks kept going back for more broth lol. Personally, if you're getting ramen at Mentsuru, the tori paitan is one worth trying! (Huge recommend for tori paitan ramen!!!!)

What does the summer-only cold tsukemen at Mentsuru taste like?

And then the summer-only item we ordered this time! Since it's only available during summer, I got curious the moment I saw it on the menu and ordered it. It felt totally different from the ramen I usually eat, so it was great to order it alongside the regular dish!

The broth was slightly tangy and sour, the noodles were nice and chewy, and the meat pieces were big, so I just kept eating without stopping ㅠㅠㅠ I'll definitely have to eat this again next summer haha.

And the karaage we ordered as a side! The moment it arrived, I was surprised at how much bigger the pieces were than expected lol. Each piece came out pretty large, so eating it alongside the ramen was more filling than I thought! Also, the outside was crispy and the inside was juicy — personally, the karaage was so delicious too ㅠㅠ.

I ordered it because ramen alone felt like it wasn't enough, and I was glad I did haha. If you especially love big chunky karaage, I'd recommend ordering it as a side dish too! (The sauce is the key!!!♥️)

Mentsuru Euljiro Branch: is this Euljiro ramen worth it?

That day we shared everything from tori paitan to the summer-only menu to karaage haha. The ramen was delicious, and the karaage side dish was delicious too, so overall it was a really filling meal! The summer-only menu in particular was great to order alongside a regular dish whenever you want to try something different :)
