Went to Pyu Euljiro this past weekend! Pyu Euljiro is a spot near Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station serving up contemporary dining.

Euljiro is such a bustling area that it's hard to find restaurants with a relaxed feel, or this kind of concept. Pyu Euljiro is the 'wait, this exists downtown?' kind of place — pleasant, comfortable atmosphere!

How to find Pyu Euljiro inside Tower107 near Euljiro 3-ga Station

Pyu Euljiro is in Euljiro 3-ga, close to Chungmuro and Myeongdong too — I walked to Myeongdong Cathedral after eating!

It's inside a building, so walk straight into the ground floor of the Tower107 building and you'll find Pyu Euljiro. There's no sign visible from outside so I wasn't sure this was the right place, but if you see this building's entrance, head on in!

Pyu Euljiro is tucked in the back of the ground floor! Walk straight in from the first-floor entrance and Pyu Euljiro will appear right in front of you.

Walking in and seeing the interior, the open feel made me happy.

Can you see how high the ceiling is? With good light coming through the windows facing outside plus the tall ceiling, there was zero stuffy feeling.

The atmosphere is so good I'd recommend it as a blind date spot in Euljiro too!! (haha) Especially since the tables are spaced quite far apart, haha, you'd barely notice the table next to you...lol

Since I'd reserved, they guided me to a table with my name on it. These little details make you feel good, haha.

Pyu Euljiro's menu and what we ordered for weekend brunch

True to its reputation as a wine spot in Euljiro, the menu had dishes good for pairing with wine or eating solo.

We ordered three dishes: garden tomato risotto, charcoal octopus with romesco, and crispy eggplant.

The set composition was well done too — felt like a generous 2.5 servings.

Since it was a lunch visit, I also ordered a coffee!

How do the risotto, octopus and eggplant at Pyu Euljiro taste?

It was a weekend afternoon so I got my iced latte transfusion first...

Chatting away over coffee, the rest of the food came out quickly!

Garden tomato risotto

A dish with tomato, cheese, and eggplant on top of barley risotto. Making tomato risotto with barley gives it a great texture and balance, which I personally love, haha. This was exactly the tomato risotto flavor I go for!

Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco

Beautiful presentation but the taste was just as good — grilled octopus! Eating a bunch of stuff at a Western restaurant like this often gets greasy and overwhelming after a while.

This octopus dish had a spicy sauce, so it paired well with the other dishes and would go great with wine too. The eggplant we ordered alongside came with a fish sauce that had the opposite vibe, so ordering the two together with contrasting feels worked well.

Crispy fried eggplant

The eggplant served with fish sauce — really crispy eggplant topped with a soft sauce that had me reaching for more and more! The combo of the fluffy, soft sauce and crackly crispy eggplant was great.

This is a dish even people who don't like eggplant should try...!! Seriously crispy.

Looked like a lot but we really finished every bit!
