A pasta restaurant tucked into the Yeonnam-dong street: Hey Joji

Today I'm bringing you a review of Hey Joji, a Yeonnam-dong pasta restaurant that's perfect for a date. Everyone dates around Yeonnam, right? So there are tons of Western restaurants there, but among them I found Hey Joji, which has a nice atmosphere and good value for money, so I went straight there. I'd been craving pasta so much lately for some reason!!

It's located right along the Yeonnam-dong street, so it's great for a date where you wander around and eat. I went solo and ate, browsed some little shops, and walked around to digest — the whole course was very satisfying.

Interior atmosphere and sofa seating
The interior was slightly antique, and thanks to the soft lighting, it was a comfortable place to eat. There were already lots of couples there, and it looked like some women were having a get-together too.

There are sofa seats too, so if you come for a date, your girlfriend will love it. Comfortable seating matters, after all. Hehe.

Isn't the basic table setting so pretty? The yellow plates were so cute I couldn't not take a photo. Extra points for me since I love yellow.
Hey Joji's menu and what I ordered

The menu had pasta, steak, risotto, and other typical Western restaurant dishes. The prices weren't too burdensome, which I liked.
- Cajun shrimp rosé pasta ₩17,000
- Corn ribs ₩6,000
- Zero Coke ₩3,000
All the pastas looked delicious so I agonized over it, but ended up going with the Cajun shrimp rosé pasta!

My order arrives! Isn't the presentation so pretty? I loved that both dishes came out at the same time. Not one dish, then a long wait, then the other — coming out together means you can take photos and dig in right away. Hehe.

Corn ribs at ₩6,000 — are five pieces enough?
I'm not sure what kind of seasoning powder it was, but the corn ribs came coated in it with cheese on top. It passed the looks test right away!

There were five pieces in total. I was surprised by how much there was. For ₩6,000, this was very satisfying!! It's great as a side to eat alongside pasta, so if you visit Hey Joji, order the corn ribs too!!

The cheese brought out a savory flavor, and the powder had a slight kick that made it delicious. With corn ribs, it matters that the kernels come off easily, and Hey Joji's — this Yeonnam-dong pasta favorite — came off easily, making it easy to eat too.

Cajun shrimp rosé pasta: noodle texture and the shrimp
The Cajun shrimp rosé pasta! The portion was bigger than I expected. Western food usually feels like small portions, but this one looked hearty from the moment it arrived, haha.
The noodle texture was exactly to my taste too. I dislike noodles that are too firm or too mushy, but how did they cook it just right... I want to learn how.

The shrimp weren't the small cocktail kind but four really hefty shrimp, and with the bacon in there, the savory depth was insane. They say you're supposed to eat slowly when dieting, but I just devoured everything from the moment it arrived to the last bite — I was almost embarrassed with myself once I finished. Lol.
Hey Joji, this Yeonnam-dong pasta favorite, was great — the prices weren't burdensome and there was a lot to see nearby. I should come back with a boyfriend someday if I get one. Lolololol, because I've gotten curious about trying the other menu items too. Hehe, wonder when that'll happen~~~
