Suwon casual dining tasting course with minari yuzu bisque pasta: Hado
In short
Hado is a casual dining course restaurant on Hyanggyo-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi. Two of us ate the ₩45,000 basic course at Hado — pea tart, sweet shrimp apple tart, minari (water dropwort) yuzu bisque pasta, sous vide chicken breast steak and Earl Grey ice cream — with house white wine at ₩8,000 a glass. The Gyodong Public Parking Lot right next door gives one free hour, so even a weekend peak-time visit to Hado was easy.

I wanted somewhere with a nice atmosphere near Suwon Station, so after some searching I ended up at Hado in Haenggung-dong.

Hado is apparently a popular spot for blind dates near Suwon Station too — instead of a flashy, overwhelming restaurant, it's more of a casual dining place where you can enjoy a special meal in a comfortable setting 🤍 Here's my review after trying the basic course for two. Let's go.
Where is Hado, and where do you park? One free hour at Gyodong Public Parking Lot
Hado is on the 1st floor of 138 Hyanggyo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. There's a Gyodong Public Parking Lot right next to the restaurant, which made driving there really convenient.

Seriously, having Gyodong Public Parking Lot right next door was so, so convenient〰️👍🏻 And free parking for up to an hour means no extra burden. I went during weekend peak hours and there were still plenty of spots!

What is the dining room at Hado like?
Walking into Hado, the overall vibe felt calm and clean 🖤 It's not too formal, so it's comfortable, but not too casual either — it seemed like a good place to go on a day when you want a bit of atmosphere, like a blind date or a regular date! Highly recommend for a blind date spot.

What the ₩45,000 basic course at Hado includes
We ordered the Hado basic course for ₩45,000. Here's how the basic course was structured 🤍
- Starter — pea tart, sweet shrimp apple tart
- Main — minari yuzu bisque pasta
- Protein — sous vide chicken breast steak
- Dessert — Earl Grey ice cream

They're also running a summer-only course like this right now. It seems like a slightly upgraded version of the basic course. I'll have to come back for that next time. For blind dates or regular dates, having the food come out one dish at a time in courses like this seems easier for eating while chatting than everything arriving at once 🍃
🌱 Starters — pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart

First out was the pea tart and the sweet shrimp apple tart.

They came out small and pretty, so the visuals were cute from the start. Nice to start off with a few bite-sized pieces.
The tart with sweet shrimp and apple together was a surprisingly unique combination, and it stuck with me.

The starter got my appetite going, so I immediately ordered a glass of the house white wine haha. Price: ₩8,000!
🍝 What does Hado's minari yuzu bisque pasta taste like?

Next up was the main, minari yuzu bisque pasta. Kind of an unusual name from the start, right? A pasta combining minari (water dropwort) and yuzu with bisque sauce — I was curious how it would taste.

Tasting it, it was definitely different from a typical cream or tomato pasta! It had a subtle, oily minari aroma with a refreshing hit of yuzu added on top, making the overall flavor pretty distinctive 〰️ Even though it's pasta, it felt light and clean, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy 🤍

My partner ordered the bisque pasta too! My partner is really picky about pasta standards, so I was nervous the whole time, but they gave this one an OK... which felt really satisfying 🤍
🥩 Sous vide chicken breast steak

Next was the sous vide chicken breast steak. When you hear chicken breast, you'd expect it to be dry, but maybe because of the sous vide method, it was much more moist and tender than I imagined. And instead of grilling it, they topped it with quinoa for a crunchy texture — such a unique touch and genuinely delicious... and putting roasted garlic on the side was a stroke of genius...

Personally, I don't reach for chicken breast much when it's dry, but this one was moist, so it was easy to slice through and eat smoothly 〰️ Having a protein dish as part of the course made the meal feel much more filling than pasta alone.
🍨 Dessert — Earl Grey ice cream

Last up was the Earl Grey ice cream! Having ice cream at the very end made for a clean finish to the meal. It was sweet with a subtle Earl Grey aroma, which was a nice balance as a palate cleanser after eating haha.
Eating through the course slowly, I ended up fuller than I expected?! Most of all, I loved that the dishes coming out one at a time gave us room to talk 🖤
Is Hado a good blind date or date restaurant in Suwon?
Personally, beyond the food, I liked the atmosphere at Hado. It's not too loud or chaotic, so it's good for conversation on a blind date, and also good for a slow, leisurely meal on a date.
Especially since the menu comes out as a course — eat one dish, talk, eat the next dish, talk some more — the meal flows naturally, which should suit anyone looking for a blind date restaurant near Suwon Station 👍🏻

And to wrap up the date properly, they even thoughtfully gave us mouthwash at the end.
Final verdict on Hado

After trying the basic course for two at Hado, I felt overall it's a good place to visit when you want a meal that's a little special without being a burden. From the pea tart to the sweet shrimp apple tart, minari yuzu bisque pasta, sous vide chicken breast steak, and Earl Grey ice cream, none of these are dishes you'd normally eat every day, so it was fun trying each one.
The minari yuzu bisque pasta stuck with me especially because of its unique name, and the sous vide chicken breast steak was solid thanks to how moist it was. And most of all, the restaurant's atmosphere is comfortable yet quietly special, making it a good pick if you're looking for a blind date restaurant or date spot near Suwon Station.

It'd also work well for anniversaries, special occasions, or a day out with friends when you want a bit of atmosphere, not just blind dates or regular dates! If you want to enjoy a slightly different pasta and course meal near Suwon Station instead of your usual food, give Hado a try :)
