In short
Chobeoljip Apgujeong Rodeo Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, near Apgujeong Rodeo Station. From sofa seats to an outdoor-style dining area
Once inside, I was welcomed by a space that was far roomier and more pleasant than I expected 👏 There are comfortable sofa seats near the entrance.

Further inside on the left, there are lots of seats with the feel of an outdoor drinking spot, almost as if you’re sitting outside 🏕️ It’s the perfect place to visit on a nice day, or for a group gathering or work dinner in Apgujeong Rodeo 👍
Since I reserved ahead, the owner had beautifully set up a spacious, comfortable table for us 🥰

Robot-pre-grilled bone pork belly and doenjang stew ordered by QR

There are pork mains and a variety of side dishes. We started by ordering the pre-grilled bone pork belly and beef brisket doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew)! 🍲

The complimentary side dishes already looked like a passing grade 💯 They serve delicious kimchi that becomes perfect when grilled, along with fresh wrap vegetables. And here’s this place’s special secret weapon! They bring out house-made danggui jangajji (pickled Korean angelica) 🌿 Its gentle angelica aroma cuts through the richness of the meat, and the pairing is simply spot-on. Haha.

Bone pork belly finished by the owner after robot pre-grilling
This is the biggest draw at Chobeoljip Apgujeong Rodeo Branch (초벌집 압구정로데오점)!!! Haha, a chef-level robot pre-grills the meat evenly 🤩

The fascinating robot brings the meat to the table after giving it a beautifully golden, delicious pre-grill!

The owner personally cuts it into easy-to-eat pieces ✂️ The bone pork belly is so wonderfully thick that you can practically see all the juices locked inside 💦
The owner comes over to grill the meat on the griddle for a while, then neatly arranges kimchi and mushrooms on top.

A truly impossible-to-look-bad visual, complete! 🔥
The first bite with pickled angelica
As the meat was cooking, I tried the owner’s recommended first bite: with Chobeoljip’s highlight, the danggui jangajji (pickled Korean angelica) 🥢 After the meat’s juices burst in my mouth, the clean angelica aroma wrapped around my palate—it was moving from the very first bite 🥹

I made a proper lettuce wrap with grilled kimchi too, and it was pure honeyed deliciousness 🍯

For the bone section—the highlight of bone pork belly—the owner wrapped it in foil so it would be easy to hold and tear from the bone with my hands 🥹 Such great attention to detail, and so kind 👍

The robot chef and the owner’s golden grilling skills made it so delicious that, before I knew it, we added one serving of pre-grilled pork belly 🐷

Beef brisket doenjang stew enriched with meat drippings
This side dish, beef brisket doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), had such a rich broth from the meat drippings and was packed with ingredients 🥄 We added a bowl of rice and polished off a hearty meal with the stew 🍚
With its great location and wonderful atmosphere, I strongly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for an Apgujeong Rodeo date spot or a place for a gathering 👏

Officially recognized as a true Apgujeong Rodeo Korean BBQ restaurant—bang, bang, bang! 👨⚖️✨
A three-part-perfect Apgujeong Rodeo pork belly specialist: the robot’s fascinating pre-grilling technique, the owner’s finishing touch, and special side dishes made with care plus a deep, flavorful stew! 🌟
