Osan conveyor-belt sushi: pick-your-own plates at Special Sushi
In short
Special Sushi Osan Branch is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant near Osan Station in Osan, Gyeonggi. On a weekday, I tried yukhoe, salmon, egg-and-eel, beef, and pork belly aged-kimchi sushi; most plates were 1,890 won. Verdict: the pork belly and aged-kimchi combination was especially good.

I was craving sushi, so I visited Special Sushi (특별한초밥) on a weekday!
Other than the special menu items, most plates here were just ₩1,890, so the prices were really good. Since it is conveyor-belt sushi, it was also fun watching the sushi go by and picking out what I wanted one piece at a time!
Near Osan Station

I came while looking for good sushi around Osan Station, and it was in a convenient spot for when you want sushi nearby. There were quite a few customers even on a weekday morning, so I thought, wow, lots of people come here!
Inside with a conveyor-belt sushi rail

As soon as I went inside, I could see the conveyor-belt sushi rail. You sit down, watch the sushi pass along the rail, and pick one up right away when you spot something you want!
As soon as I sat down, I spent ages looking at what to eat first, haha. With sushi constantly going by, I suddenly wanted to try this and that.

There were quite a few customers when I visited too, but the atmosphere felt more relaxed than I expected. It seemed like a nice place to come with a friend and chat over sushi, and it did not look intimidating for a simple solo meal either.
Most plates are ₩1,890

Except for special menu items, most dishes were ₩1,890 per plate, which made it easy to choose lots of different kinds. Since the prices were nearly all the same, I could simply watch the rail and comfortably pick whatever I felt like eating!

That day, I picked yukhoe sushi, salmon sushi, egg-and-eel sushi, beef sushi, and pork belly aged-kimchi sushi. I usually prefer eating several different kinds rather than just one kind of sushi, so I really liked this setup, haha.
How the sushi I picked tasted

I started with yukhoe sushi. Since it was topped with yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), it definitely tasted different from typical fish sushi, but the rich nuttiness of the yukhoe went really well with the rice, so it was delicious!

The salmon sushi was soft and reliably tasty, as always, haha. I like salmon, so I picked one up as soon as I saw it coming by—salmon really cannot be left out when you are eating sushi.

I also tried the egg-and-eel sushi, and the sweet egg and eel worked well together. Having a piece of beef sushi between the fish sushi was nice too, since it gave a different feel!

Personally, the pork belly aged-kimchi sushi was so good! The rich flavor of the pork belly came with aged kimchi, which kept it from being greasy and gave it a tangy lift, so the combination was better than I expected.
As I ate them one by one, the plates just kept piling up, haha. At first I planned to have only a few, but each time sushi passed by, I picked another one, and before I knew it I had eaten quite a lot...
If you are looking for good sushi in Osan, Special Sushi could be worth checking out. Especially if you are looking for somewhere to eat sushi near Osan Station, it seems like a good place to keep in mind!
That day, I got to pick all sorts of sushi I had been wanting and left feeling full. Next time, I want to try the items I missed this time too, one by one, haha.
