Seoul Station sandwich shop for a shareable fig pistachio baguette

If you’re looking for a great brunch spot near Seoul Station, I’d love to recommend this sandwich place, Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station. Isn’t the name unique and kind of hip from the start!? The shop itself has such a stylish, tidy atmosphere that it really caught my eye. Best of all, there are lots of sandwich options, so it’s great for a quick meal around Seoul Station.

I’d previously enjoyed the strawberry seasonal menu and the jambon-beurre sandwich so much, and when the new autumn fig menu came out, I had to go try it.

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station: location and parking

Parking is available in the building. Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is on the third basement floor of Grand Central. It’s conveniently close to Seoul Station, and once you enter the building and head down to B3, it isn’t hard to find.

I loved the atmosphere here. It’s clean overall but still casual, so rather than just popping in to take a sandwich away, I’d recommend taking your time and enjoying a coffee-and-sandwich brunch in the shop.

Looking over the menu, there was a wide selection of baguettes and ciabattas. There were familiar sandwich choices too, but it was also fun choosing from the unusual seasonal combinations.

Why I chose the fig pistachio baguette

As I looked through the options, the one I picked was the one whose name immediately caught my attention: the much-talked-about “Fig Pistachio Baguette.”

Figs and pistachios! They’re ingredients I already love, so I was curious as soon as I saw it on the menu. More than anything, the name was fun, so I ordered it excited to see what it would taste like.

Instead of eating at the shop, I decided to take it away and share it with a friend. When I took out the packaged baguette, it looked so hip and appetizing right away. The ingredients peeking out from the baguette looked pretty too, making it a great menu item to photograph.

The autumn pairing of figs and pistachios

I cut the baguette and shared it with my friend, and from the very first bite: it was so good! The combination really worked. First came the baguette’s signature mild, nutty flavor, followed by the subtle sweetness of the figs. Then the nutty richness of the pistachios came together with it all, balancing sweet and savory-nutty flavors so nicely.

Since it had figs in it, I wondered whether it might be too sweet, but I liked that it was less sweet than I expected. The pistachios’ nuttiness came through as well, making it the kind of flavor that keeps you reaching for another bite.

An autumn baguette I want to have again

Now I understand why this pistachio sandwich with its autumn-only fig combination is so popular on social media. I loved its hip look, but above all, I was satisfied because the figs and pistachios worked so wonderfully together.
