Seoul Station café for 7am baguette brunch: Dance Dance Dance

Dance Dance Dance, whose flagship is in Hannam-dong, has opened a branch at Seoul Station’s Grand Central. It’s a Seoul Station café where you can have sandwiches, salads, and brunch from 7am.

It’s on B3 of Grand Central, which is connected to Seoul Station by an underground passage. Since it’s a Seoul Station café, I expected lots of foot traffic and mostly takeout, but I was surprised to find such a spacious, pleasant area down on B3—and it was really busy, too.

There were lots of tables in the large space, so it looked good for office-worker lunches or eating alone, too. Even though it was the weekend, there were plenty of customers; it seems that, besides office workers like me, lots of people using Seoul Station stop by as well.

Choosing sandwiches and baguettes at the kiosk

There was a printed menu, and you order at the kiosk beside it! The kiosk even had photos of every menu item, which made deciding much easier.

Seasonal items and sandwiches

• Scone Gift Set ₩15,200: A four-piece scone gift set discounted from the regular price of ₩17,200.
• Pollock Roe Potato Sandwich ₩10,900: A summer seasonal item with homemade pollock roe mayo on mashed potato. They recommend switching to ciabatta if you want a softer texture.
• Corn Tofu Cream Cheese Baguette ₩10,900: A limited summer item filled with thick corn tofu cream and whole corn kernels.
• Fig Matcha Baguette ₩16,900: An autumn item made with matcha tofu cream cheese using Korean matcha powder, figs, and fig jam.
• Fig Pistachio Baguette ₩18,900: An autumn item made with pistachio-paste tofu cream cheese, figs, and fig jam.
• Baguette Sandwich ₩8,900: Homemade whole-grain mustard sauce, vegetables, cheese, and homemade ham; it can be changed to ciabatta.
• Chicken Breast Sandwich ₩11,900: Chicken breast tossed in homemade sauce; it can be changed to ciabatta.
• Jambon Jalapeño Sandwich ₩11,900: Jambon ham with jalapeño tofu cream cheese; it can be changed to ciabatta.
• Egg Potato Sandwich ₩10,900: Egg mayo and strawberry jam; it can be changed to ciabatta.
• Grilled Cheese Sandwich ₩14,900: Honey, jalapeños, and cheddar, mozzarella, and Gouda; available only on baguette.
• Mushroom Grilled Sandwich ₩9,900: A sandwich with oyster mushrooms, cheese, and a savory sauce.
• Hot Ham & Cheese Sandwich ₩8,900: Ham, cheddar, and homemade hot sauce; available only on ciabatta.
• Tuna Jalapeño Sandwich ₩11,900: Jalapeño tuna mayo, wasabi mayo, and cheddar cheese.

There was such a wide range: set menus, sandwiches, baguettes, desserts, coffee, decaf, soup, and drinks. Depending on the item, sandwiches and baguette sandwiches could be switched from baguette to ciabatta, and having coffee, soup, and desserts to enjoy alongside them was even better!

Once I ordered, they made the sandwiches right away. If you can’t eat them immediately, refrigerate them, then warm them in an air fryer at 180°C for three minutes.

I chose fig pistachio, pollock roe, and grilled cheese

I bought the Fig Pistachio Baguette for ₩18,900, Grilled Cheese Sandwich for ₩14,900, and Pollock Roe Baguette for ₩7,900. They came in stylish packaging, and since the sandwiches weren’t stuffed to the brim, they weren’t too heavy, haha.

Autumn seasonal fig pistachio baguette

This autumn seasonal item has pistachio tofu cream cheese made with 100% pistachio paste for a deep, true-to-ingredient flavor, plus high-sugar figs and fig jam for an extra savory depth.

I was so surprised that the pistachio cream was tofu cream..! It was the most popular item on the seasonal menu, so I picked it without a second thought >.<

Pollock roe baguette and grilled cheese sandwich

The Pollock Roe Baguette is a baguette baked after being generously spread with homemade pollock roe mayo. Every time I watched the Dance Dance Dance owner’s vlogs, it made me want a bite so badly, so as a lover of pollock roe salt bread and pollock roe baguettes, I immediately picked this one, too!

With three cheeses, jalapeños, and honey, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich had sweetness + saltiness + nuttiness + heat --> it just couldn’t possibly taste bad!! This sandwich can’t be changed to ciabatta.

You wouldn’t know it was tofu cream unless told

The Fig Pistachio Baguette was the one I was most curious about! I wondered what tofu cream would be like, but honestly, if no one had told me, I don’t think I would have known it was tofu cream. The soft tofu cream full of real pistachio flavor, sweet and juicy figs, and chopped pistachios were all so delicious.

There was a light layer of fig jam on the baguette side. There wasn’t much, so rather than adding lots of sweetness, it lifted the flavor—and the fig sandwich itself tasted so joyful that it made for a very happy brunch ☕︎
