What the dining room at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch looks like

Now that I'm pregnant, I find myself thinking about food I want to eat dozens of times a day, and recently I was craving spicy jjamppong so badly that I looked up whether there was a Jjamppong Jijon near the office — turns out there's a location right between Gangnam Station Exit 1 and Yeoksam Station Exit 3! From the spicy jjajangmyeon to the spicy jjamppong to the sweet and sour pork, the meal was so satisfying that I wanted to introduce it to you all. So let's get into the Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch review 🔥
Sitting between Gangnam and Yeoksam, both dense with offices, this place has great accessibility, and with plenty of tables it would work fine for group reservations too — Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch, a Yeoksam Station lunch spot favorite. The interior was clean and comfortable, and there was even an indoor restroom, which made it a really pleasant place to eat.

What really stood out to me was the thoughtfulness of it all — hair ties at the self-serve counter, plus a proper kids' chair set up separately? And the restroom had mouthwash ready, and pressing the call button got you anything from diapers to feminine products. As a customer, that all felt really great.
Menu and the four spice levels at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch
Jjamppong and jjajangmyeon at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch can be ordered at spice levels 1 through 4. My husband and I visited on a weekday early evening and ordered jjamppong at spice level 2, jjajangmyeon at spice level 1, and a small sweet and sour pork.

We got there in the early evening on a weekday and could sit down at leisure. Looking through the menu first, there were tempting cooked dishes, rice meals, dumplings, and half-and-half combos, all kinds of options. But since I'd come craving spicy jjamppong and my husband wanted spicy jjajangmyeon, we didn't hesitate — jjamppong (spice level 2) and jjajangmyeon (spice level 1), plus we added sweet and sour pork on the side.
※ Jjamppong and jjajangmyeon spice levels go from 1 to 4, and even level 2 is quite spicy and rich, so I'd recommend choosing according to your taste 🌶️
How the food tasted at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch

Not long after ordering, the sweet and sour pork, jjamppong, and jjajangmyeon all came out together 🥢 The food arrived quickly, right around the time we got back from the self-serve counter, which was satisfying, and the food looked so good on its own that I was already drooling. The portions looked generous too, which put me in a great mood *_*
How spicy is jjamppong at spice level 2?
Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch's level 2 jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, but it had a rich, sharp kick that would make a great hangover cure. Quail eggs, meat, squid, and vegetables were packed in generously, so it was fun to dig through the toppings too.

I stirred the jjamppong I ordered first, scooping up noodles and meat to taste. At level 2, it wasn't intensely spicy, but it had that rich, sharp kick — good even as a hangover remedy — and spicy enough that even people who handle spice well would enjoy it, a really pleasant level of heat that made it genuinely delicious. While eating, I was already thinking about mixing rice into it later haha. And with quail eggs, meat, squid, and vegetables all packed in generously, digging through the toppings was really fun too!
Jjajang at spice level 1: closer to Sichuan-style jjajangmyeon
Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch's level 1 jjajang wasn't like regular jjajangmyeon at all — it tasted more like Sichuan-style jjajangmyeon. That said, it wasn't overly spicy, so even people who can't handle spicy food much could still eat it.

After a bite of jjamppong, I stole a bite of the jjajang my husband had ordered, which he was mixing up thoroughly. Even at spice level 1, it didn't taste like regular jjajangmyeon — it tasted more like Sichuan-style jjajangmyeon!? 🥢 But it wasn't overly spicy, so it was a flavor most people could enjoy. And the glossy, shiny jjajang sauce tasted amazing too!
Is the small sweet and sour pork worth ordering?
The small sweet and sour pork at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch had a charmingly sweet sauce, and the texture and flavor of the meat were great too. We went back and forth on whether to order it, but skipping it would have been a shame.

After the jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, we had to try the sweet and sour pork too, right? We went back and forth on whether to order it, but the small sweet and sour pork we ended up getting was so good it would have been a real shame to skip — the sweet, charming sauce was a highlight, and the texture and flavor of the meat were great too, leaving us very satisfied! If you visit Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch, a Yeoksam Station lunch spot, make sure to order the sweet and sour pork~
Unlimited rice refills and the free yuzu and plum drinks
At Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch, you can grab as much rice as you like from the self-serve counter for free, and after the meal there's complimentary yuzu and plum drink service. We mixed the leftover jjamppong broth and toppings with rice and finished off every last drop of the soup.

After thoroughly working through the jjajang, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork, we added the free-refill rice into the leftover broth and toppings and finished off the last drop of soup, yum 🥄 Overall, the broth and toppings base was so good that it tasted amazing with rice too! Since you can grab as much rice as you want from the self-serve counter, it felt like a hearty, no-pressure meal.
After finishing our rice, dessert came in the form of complimentary yuzu and plum drinks, which rounded off the meal perfectly at Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch! If you're looking for a great Yeoksam Station lunch spot, or a restaurant for solo dining or group visits, I recommend checking out Jjamppong Jijon Yeoksam Branch.
