Where is Uu and what are its opening hours?

Uu is a solo-drinking cocktail bar on the 3rd floor, 8-7 Neungdong-ro 11-gil, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, a short walk from Konkuk University Station. Hours run Sunday to Thursday 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM, and Friday to Saturday until 5:00 AM the next day.

Since it's a short walk from Konkuk University Station it was easy to get to by subway And since it's within the Konkuk commercial district it's perfect for a second stop after dinner nearby, haha I went on a weekday evening and there were plenty of open seats so I could sit right down

What is the atmosphere and interior like at Uu?

Uu has a dark bar mood done all in black tones with only spot lighting. Behind the bar counter, whisky and liqueur bottles are lined up in a row, serving as decor in themselves.

The moment I walked in, it was genuinely dim and moody haha All-black interior with spot lighting hitting only exactly where it's needed it had that emotional bar mood Perfect for a quiet drink alone, haha If you like drinking, just looking at the bottles alone will eat up your time, haha

I was worried it might feel awkward sitting alone but being at the bar counter actually made it more comfortable There were two male staff who chatted naturally without making it weird and the whole vibe was genuinely relaxing, haha

The red grenadine syrup settles at the bottom with the soda rising on top — the visual was so pretty I took photos before even drinking it, haha With a slice of lime on top the freshness doubled Even people who can't drink alcohol can enjoy this without worry I dropped the lime while stirring...;;

Cinnamon orange (8,000 won) ⭐ my top pick

Wow.. this was truly the top pick of this visit Orange cubes piled with plenty of cinnamon powder When you pop a piece in your mouth the orange juice bursts and the cinnamon scent shoots straight up your nose I didn't expect it to pair this well as a drinking snack The combination with the cocktail was insane And it's only ₩8,000 so you can order it without any burden Definitely reordering next time, haha

Pizza canapé (12,000 won)

Salami + cherry tomato + ricotta + pesto on a cracker The visual alone is already full of vibes Comes in 8 bite-sized pieces The salami was pretty salty so I felt it would pair even better with something stronger like whisky than with a cocktail Want to order this again next time when I get whisky, haha It wasn't bad with the cocktail either, though

The signature cocktail named after the bar and an actual real cocktail! The glass rim has a sugar rim and a red tone with a lime slice as the accent It came out so pretty my heart skipped a beat, haha One sip in it was sweet and tangy with a slight alcohol note in the aftertaste Not too strong, went down smooth Even cocktail beginners can drink this without worry As the signature, definitely order this if you come here

🚨 Highlight of the day 🚨 Honestly, the handsome guy sitting next to me that day and I ended up chatting naturally, and he asked for my number lolol (Genuinely did not see that coming..) I think it's because the bar itself has a mood where conversation flows naturally, haha I went to have a quiet drink alone but ended up with a handsome guy asking for my number lol and the cocktails were great too, so I was totally satisfied lolol

The staff were genuinely kind too so even coming alone, I never felt awkward and got to relax the whole time Watching them make the cocktails so carefully up close was kind of fascinating too, haha For women looking for a solo bar near Konkuk on a day when you want a quiet drink like me I seriously recommend Uu! Once you sit at the bar seats, there's never a dull moment, haha Next time I'm planning to reorder the cinnamon orange and try a whisky
