Round one: the yukhoe combo, tartare and raw beef sashimi together
At this yukhoe spot near Children's Grand Park Station, Sejong University, and Konkuk University, of course our first order was the yukhoe combo! Since they specialize in yukhoe, I figured the raw beef sashimi would be good too, so we ordered both together, along with king shrimp tempura and Bburinkle seasoned potatoes.
Yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and raw beef sashimi
The yukhoe at Yukhoe Gongjakso Sejong University branch looked appetizing from its deep red color alone. The slightly sweet, savory seasoning kept our chopsticks coming back for more. Salmon sashimi
Yukhoe Gongjakso Sejong University branch may be known as a yukhoe spot near Children's Grand Park Station, Sejong University, and Konkuk University, but the salmon was really good too. It had a flavor that felt somewhat aged, thick-cut yet very soft. My earlier worry that a non-specialist sashimi restaurant wouldn't do it justice turned out to be unfounded, haha.
Chicken gizzard skewer and green onion chicken skewer
The chicken gizzards at this bar near Children's Grand Park Station, Sejong University, and Konkuk University had an appealing chewy, crunchy texture. The green onion chicken skewer was juicy, cooked just right without any burnt or undercooked spots. Only downside was that the green onion was a bit tough.
