To find it, come out of Seolleung Station exit 8 or 9, and once you see the Hana Bank building, just head down the stairs into the basement. Book ahead and shoot right away, no waiting

Once you go in, they check if you have a reservation, then you fill out a photo order form. I visited early on a weekend and there were surprisingly a lot of people.

If you book through the Naver link beforehand, you can go at your chosen time without waiting and get your prints done quickly too — that's the advantage. Plus booking ahead gets you a 1+1 prints deal or a color background coupon.

Visa/passport clothing and hair rules — just check the in-store guide

Inside the studio there are examples for each photo type, and for special cases like visas, the rules are clearly written out, so it was convenient to just check and prepare accordingly.

  • Review event: passport + driver's license + ID card, 16 prints — ₩30,000
  • Passport + driver's license, 8 prints with files provided — ₩30,000
  • File printing only: passport + driver's license, 8 prints — ₩15,000
  • Smartphone photo printing, photo table — ₩1,000–5,000
  • Art photos (illustration ₩10,000, 3D ₩30,000) — ₩10,000–30,000
  • ID card, 8 prints with files provided — ₩30,000

Also, note that the 'file printing' options are for printing photos you already have — not new shoots — so check that before you go.

Inside the studio

Clean, spacious interior of the photo studio
Waiting seats where companions can sit

The inside of the studio is really clean and spacious. There's a separate waiting area, so even if you go with someone, you can both wait comfortably.

MAKE UP ROOM

Makeup room with curling iron and hair products organized

What made Deokseu Gallery special was this separate makeup room — everything from a curling iron to various hair products is neatly organized. It was great for fixing up your face right before the shoot, haha.

Rack of shirts provided for photo shoots
Suit tops for profile and job application ID photos

Inside, there are also shirts to wear for profile photos or job application ID photos, so it's the perfect place if you suddenly need a photo while out and don't have a suit like that at home.

How the passport + driver's license, 8-print shoot went

I went with the passport + driver's license package, 8 prints with digital files, for ₩30,000. Once the shoot started, the lights turned on and the owner coached me on pose, expression, and positioning step by step, which made it easy to feel comfortable during the shoot.

Monitor screen for choosing photos right after the shoot
Work desk where retouching is checked side by side

The shoot itself was done within 5 minutes, then right away you pick your photo and it goes into retouching — the owner sat next to me, helped pick the photo I wanted, and carefully checked which parts I wanted more attention on during the retouching, which was nice.

Smartphone photo printing too

I also got a smartphone photo printed on the side — you just email them the photo from your phone, pick a size, and they print it as is! The quality was noticeably sharp with no loss in resolution, so I'd recommend it for keepsakes.

Photo printed from a smartphone image

I heard a lot of celebrities have come through here too. The photos and retouching were satisfying, and most of all, the whole thing wraps up within 15 minutes — there's no reason not to go, haha. If you need passport photos, visas, profile shots, or anything similar, I'd recommend the professional Seolleung Station studio Deokseu Gallery!
