Today, I visited MTO Fitness near Jeongbalsan Station for a workout. When I choose a gym, I tend to care about whether it has a varied selection of equipment, how comfortable the workout space is, and whether the flow gets awkward when it is busy. The MTO Fitness PT Jeongbalsan Branch I visited this time made a fantastic first impression!

A Jeongbalsan Station gym where you can try a day pass first
It was set up to be easy for first-time visitors to use, and I also liked that you can buy a day pass from the kiosk at the entrance. It was nice not having to sign up for a long-term membership—you can work out for a day first and decide. If you like it after trying it, you can join as a member, too.

There happened to be a Chuseok event offering memberships at a lower price, so I can confidently recommend MTO Fitness Jeongbalsan Branch to anyone hoping to diet or exercise!
It is across from the Dong-gu Office and about a 10-minute walk from Jeongbalsan Station! It is conveniently accessible from the station, and it is open a full 24 hours!! You can use it anytime. I am so jealous of people who live nearby ㅜㅜ

Discount passes are on sale from September 1 through 13, and if you join the completed-workout challenge, you get a protein drink for free!! Isn't that such a great event for motivation?

Dedicated stretching, cardio, weights, and Pilates zones
MTO Fitness was divided into a stretching zone, cardio zone, weights zone, and Pilates zone. The spaces were separated according to workout purpose, so even on my first visit, it was not difficult to find where to do each kind of exercise. I loved that!

Stretching before leg day and the machine lineup
Before starting my workout, I headed to the stretching zone and properly loosened up! Especially on lower-body days, I make sure to loosen my hips and legs thoroughly. Since there was a dedicated space for stretching, I could warm up comfortably.
I came to work out my lower body today, so while stretching I naturally looked over the leg equipment nearby, too. People who love leg day probably consider the equipment lineup important, and there were more machines than I expected, so I was already excited haha. Gym-goers, you know what I mean, right?

The first thing that caught my eye was that there were two leg presses! They are one of the popular lower-body machines at gyms, so you sometimes have to wait when it is crowded. Having two is such a huge advantage!
There were also various machines for lower-body training, including a V-squat, calf raise, leg curl, and leg extension. There were a few machines for glute work as well, so I thought it would be great for working the entire lower body in different ways.
Even when training the same area, lower-body exercises feel different depending on which machine you use, so I tend to use a variety of them. MTO Fitness looked like a good place to put together a varied routine all in one spot!

After warming up thoroughly, I started my lower-body workout. I focused on my legs using the machines, then finished my lower-body session in the free-weight zone!

A free-weight zone with generous space between equipment
The free-weight zone was another part I personally liked. At some gyms, dumbbells and equipment are scattered everywhere, so you have to tidy up before working out. MTO Fitness was well organized overall, which made it feel comfortable.
You sweat a lot while exercising and end up using various machines, but the space itself felt clean and well maintained, which made me feel good throughout my workout. In particular, there was generous room between the equipment, so it did not seem likely that people would get in each other's way or have their paths overlap much during free-weight training.

The chest-training and cable zone in the free-weight area! It is not common to find a place with two cable machines, but true to MTO Fitness's spacious scale, you can use them without waiting!

This is the shoulder and back zone. As you can see, the machines are spaced well so paths do not overlap, and there are plenty of types of equipment, so you can use them without worrying about people waiting.

For cardio, there were StairMaster-style climbers, bikes, incline trainers, and treadmills. It was separated from the other zones, so I could focus entirely on cardio.

Individual shower booths and password lockers
Lastly, I looked at not only the workout space but also the changing room. When choosing a gym, the changing room and shower facilities are just as important to me as the workout facilities.
The MTO Fitness changing room had individual shower booths, and personal lockers were available, too. I especially found it convenient that you can set your own password for the locker. There is a lot to think about when storing clothes or belongings after a workout, but I liked that there was a well-prepared space for personal use.

Overall, the biggest advantages I felt while using MTO Fitness PT near Jeongbalsan Station today were the spacious setting, varied workout equipment, and comfortable flow. With separate stretching, cardio, weights, and Pilates zones, it was easy to build a workout routine. As someone who loves lower-body training, I was especially pleased by the two leg presses and the variety of leg machines.
If you are looking for somewhere to work out near Jeongbalsan Station, or want to try a gym for a day before deciding, a day pass could be a good option. I focused on lower-body training today, and the space was large with varied equipment, so I used the facilities super comfortably~ If you are looking for a gym near Jeongbalsan Station, it may be good to compare the facilities and atmosphere of the workout spaces in person before choosing!
