My husband and I usually love Mexican food like tacos and fajitas. But whenever we try to bring the kids along, the distinctive spice smell means they end up just picking at nachos or fries, which has always been a bit of a headache.

Then I heard about a place near Magok Station where you can enjoy pasta and tacos together, so we headed to Pasta Course Magok, also known as a go-to spot near Seoul Botanic Park! Even from the outside, the red awning stands out, giving off that exotic vibe you'd expect from a Seoul Botanic Park favorite.

Seating and parking at Pasta Course Magok: the terrace is the draw

Pasta Course Magok is a cozy space with about 4 tables inside, but the outdoor terrace seating outside is beautifully done and really appealing. You can park in the building's basement parking lot, and they validate parking after your meal too.

It also seemed like a perfect atmosphere for a date course at a Magok restaurant. The basil flavor was subtle yet nutty, so even our spice-sensitive kids said it wasn't spicy at all and cleaned their plates completely.

I was touched by the thoughtful touch of Mickey Mouse-shaped tableware for the kids! Thanks to that, they were able to portion out their own food and enjoy the meal happily.

The fajita at Pasta Course comes with spicy seasoned chipotle chicken, pork carnitas, shrimp, seasoned meat fried rice, 8 tortillas, 4 kinds of sauce, and salad. Finally, the main dish, the fajita, makes its entrance! The visual alone is overwhelming, right?

True to its reputation as a taco specialist among Magok restaurants, the portions came out substantial and generous.

There were as many as 4 kinds of sauces served together, from salsa to yogurt sauce, and it was fun picking and dipping according to your taste.

There was also a fresh salad served alongside, and the lettuce was truly fresh.

The star of this fajita was definitely the chipotle! Chipotle is really trending these days, isn't it? Piled high with spicy seasoned chipotle chicken and pork carnitas, it had that smoky aroma properly infused throughout.

Wrapping the meat, shrimp, and seasoned meat fried rice into one of the 8 tortillas and taking a big bite was pure happiness! The spicy yet savory chipotle flavor spreading through your mouth was truly exceptional.

Before it gets much colder, I think I'll be back soon to enjoy the outdoor terrace atmosphere one more time, haha.
