I want to introduce a buckwheat noodle place my baby really enjoyed!!! We had errands to run near Yangjae, so we drove over and stopped by Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch for a slightly late lunch.
Even though we were past the lunch rush, there were still quite a lot of customers. We visited with our baby and ordered three servings of buckwheat clam noodle soup plus dumplings.
Basic info and parking at Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch

Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch ✔️ Address: 15-11 Gangnam-daero 18-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul ✔️ Hours: Daily 09:00–21:00
There's parking space in front of the restaurant, but it's not huge, so you'll want to be a bit careful if you're driving. About 4 cars can park out front! We drove there too, and if you're going during busy hours, it's probably more reassuring to also keep a nearby public parking lot in mind.

You can do remote waiting and reservations through Catch Table. Since the aT Center is nearby, there are a lot of group reservations too. It's also known as a solid spot for office worker dinners 🍜
The interior atmosphere and baby chairs

Even though it was a late lunch when we went, diners kept coming in. Still, the interior is fairly spacious and turnover is quick, so it didn't feel as busy as I expected.
Even with a baby, the atmosphere was comfortable enough for a family meal. 👍🏻 What I liked most was that the menu itself isn't heavily seasoned, so it worked well to eat with a baby.

Group reservations on the 2nd floor can accommodate up to 50 people, so it comfortably covers larger parties. Baby chairs are also available, so it's good to visit with a baby too!
What we ordered and the prices

We ordered three servings of buckwheat clam noodle soup along with king dumplings. Clam noodle soup is ₩13,000 per person, and king dumplings are ₩8,000. A lot of people also order makguksu (buckwheat noodles) at ₩12,000 and pollack sashimi with boiled pork at ₩24,000, so I told myself I'd try those on my next visit 🔥
How the buckwheat clam noodle soup tasted

The moment the noodle soup came out, I was a bit surprised by the amount of clams haha. It wasn't just a few clams thrown in — they kept turning up as we ate, so it was quite generous.
The noodles were also a bit different from regular kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade, but maybe because of the buckwheat, they had a slightly rough, distinctive buckwheat texture and were much chewier than I expected. I honestly liked this noodle texture a lot.

The king dumplings had a subtle mushroom aroma
We originally ordered the dumplings just to eat alongside the noodle soup, but they turned out tastier than expected. They're meat dumplings, but there's a subtle mushroom scent inside. So they had a more fragrant feel than regular meat dumplings, and the filling was moist, which paired well with the noodle soup broth. If we'd only had the noodle soup it might have felt a little lacking, so I was glad we ordered the dumplings too.

A mild broth with a slightly spicy finish
When I first tasted the broth, it was quite mild and clean. But maybe because there were so many clams in it, as I kept eating, a refreshing flavor came through, and there was a slightly spicy edge at the end, so it was never bland.

Our baby ate the buckwheat noodles well too
Since the noodle soup wasn't too spicy or heavily seasoned, I tried cutting up the noodles and giving them to our baby, and she ate them so well haha

She usually likes noodles anyway, but eating buckwheat noodles without any resistance made things easier for us too. 🧡🤤
Overall verdict

If you're looking for a lunch spot near Yangjae Citizens' Forest to eat with a baby, Seonbawi Memil Jangteo was solid‼️ Above all, the buckwheat noodles were chewy and the clams were generous, giving the broth a refreshing yet slightly spicy taste that suited my palate well.
Our baby ate the buckwheat noodle soup so well that if you're looking for somewhere to eat with a child around Yangjae like we were, it's a place worth trying.

As a final palate cleanser, buckwheat tea is provided too, so I'd recommend this meal filled with buckwheat from start to finish •••🖤
