Burger restaurant in Mapo, Seoul: Quokka Bite milkshakes

In short

Quokka Bite is a burger restaurant near Gyeongui Line Forest Park between Daeheung and Gongdeok stations in Mapo, Seoul. My partner and I had the Grilled Quokka Burger, Double Cheese Burger, sides, and milkshakes; the thick, juicy burgers were satisfying, though it was a sponsored visit.

Is it a good location to pair with a Gyeongui Line Forest Park walk?

My partner and I often walk along Gyeongui Line Forest Park, and this time we visited the nearby burger restaurant Quokka Bite. As two people who like burgers, we came here for lunch.

The restaurant is on the first floor at 11 Baekbeom-ro 24-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It sits between Daeheung and Gongdeok stations and is close to Gyeongui Line Forest Park, so it was easy to combine a walk with a meal. Its cute atmosphere stood out even from a distance.

Is there a terrace, and can you bring a dog?

There was outdoor terrace seating, and the restaurant indicated that pets are allowed. We visited as a pair this time, but I thought it would be nice to return with a dog next time.

There was a notice at the entrance emphasizing the air conditioning. It was indeed cool inside, which made it comfortable to eat on a hot day.

How do you order, and what is the interior like?

We ordered using the kiosk at the entrance. There were many burger options as well as set menus. Since we could change the options, it was easy to order the combination we wanted.

The interior was tidy, with quokka- and Australia-related decorations on display. It was a cute space to look around while waiting for our meal.

Quokka plush toys and store merchandise also caught my eye. They were selling caps and T-shirts, among other items, and they were cute enough that I wanted to buy one.

Which burgers and sides did we order for two?

When our food arrived, the appetizing burgers and their packaging caught my eye first. The restaurant's cute atmosphere carried through to the packaging.

My partner chose the Grilled Quokka Burger, while I chose the Double Cheese Burger. The ingredients and portions were generous, so I personally found them satisfying for the price.

We also ordered fries and hash browns as sides. The fries were thick-cut, which is the style we both like.

Pickles came with the meal, too. Having one now and then when the food began to feel rich refreshed my palate.

How were the milkshakes with the burgers, and how filling were they?

What I especially liked was that they had milkshakes. We drank them with the burgers and dipped the thick-cut fries in them, too.

With my first bite of the burger, I could taste the juiciness of the patty. The ingredients also tasted fresh, and we both enjoyed our meals.

I do not usually feel very full from just one burger, but the burgers here were thick enough that one alone felt filling. Eating them with pickles meant the richness did not linger for long. It was a meal I would think of again on a day when I wanted burgers and milkshakes with a walk along Gyeongui Line Forest Park.
