It's a minute's walk from the bus stop. Being right on the main road makes it easy to find and pretty accessible.

I was looking for somewhere to have dinner in Yeongdeungpo and ended up at an izakaya. There are so many restaurants around Yeongdeungpo Station that I had a hard time deciding, but this time I wanted somewhere I could sit comfortably, eat, and chat, so I gave this place a try.

What I liked most was the location. Being right in front of a bus stop made it easy to reach by public transit, and the directions were simple. I thought it'd be a fine choice for meeting up with people.

When I arrived, I took a photo of the exterior first. Going in during the evening, the vibe was cozier than I expected. Everything felt neat and tidy, which made a good first impression.

Going inside, I saw young women sitting at the tables. Since it was only 6pm, the place wasn't too crowded yet.

Here's the view near the entrance as you walk in. The overall atmosphere felt bright and relaxed. It wasn't heavy or intimidating at all — it seemed like a fine spot to meet friends or go on a date over a meal.

The interior felt cozy yet clean. Personally, when I pick a restaurant, the food matters, but so does whether the interior is clean and comfortable — and this place checked that box for me.

I sat down and took my time looking over the menu. Ordering is done by photographing the QR code on the wall. Scanning it takes you to the Naver menu. Once you've made your choice, you press the bell and a staff member comes to take your order. I saved a screenshot from my phone, so take a look for reference.

Ordering pork belly scallion skewers, gopchang skewers and lemon cream shrimp

You can't really skip the skewers at an izakaya. Among the many options, I ordered the pork belly scallion skewers, gopchang (beef intestine) skewers, and lemon cream shrimp this time. Ordering several dishes at once and sharing small portions of each meant I got to try a wider variety than if I'd stuck to just one dish.

Once the food arrived, I took a photo of everything as it was set on the table. With the skewers and shrimp together, the table looked pretty full. I took photos, then dug right in.

Pork belly scallion skewers

First up was the pork belly scallion skewers. Pork belly and scallions together made for an easy one-bite skewer. The savory pork belly combined with the scallions cut through the richness a little. Each skewer was easy to grab and eat, and they'd be good for sharing with a group too.

Looking closer, you could see the scallions tucked between the layers of pork belly, so I snapped a photo of that too. Picking off skewers one by one like this is part of the fun of eating at an izakaya.

Gopchang (beef intestine) skewers

Next I tried the gopchang (beef intestine) skewers. If you like the distinctive rich, savory flavor of gopchang, this is worth ordering at least once. Being on skewers made it easy to eat, and since the flavor was so different from the pork belly scallion skewers, switching between the two was fun.

I took a close-up photo of the gopchang skewers too. Skewer dishes are great for picking at one by one while chatting, so they're a solid order at an izakaya. It'd be nice to come with friends and order a few different kinds to share.

Lemon cream shrimp

One of the dishes I was most curious about that day was the lemon cream shrimp. The shrimp and cream sauce with a hint of fresh lemon gave off a completely different vibe from the skewers. After the savory skewers, switching over to the lemon cream shrimp changed things up nicely, and alternating between the two worked well.

I photographed the shrimp's look too. Its color stood out among the other dishes, making it a nice accent in the table shots. As always, the best way to find dishes you like is to just try them yourself.

1st-floor bar seats or 2nd-floor window seats: which is better?

This is the view further inside on the 1st floor. There were more people seated deeper inside the 1st floor than near the entrance.

There's also a 2nd floor, and we were guided upstairs.

The 2nd floor felt even cozier, and I liked being able to see outside through the window.

As I ate and looked around, I kept enjoying the cozy, clean atmosphere. It stuck with me how many young women were visiting, and overall it felt like a comfortable place to eat and chat. It seemed like a fine spot for a dinner with friends or a date over a meal.

I took some photos of the interior — this is the 2nd floor. If you're coming as a group, the 2nd floor seems like the way to go.

The location was another thing I liked. Being right in front of a bus stop made it easy to find, and it was quite accessible by public transit. When making plans in Yeongdeungpo, somewhere easy to find is always a plus, and this place had that advantage.

Overall, this visit was a comfortable one. I got to try skewer dishes like the pork belly scallion skewers and gopchang skewers, plus the lemon cream shrimp, so I got to enjoy a good variety, and above all, the cozy, clean space made it easy to relax and spend time there.

Here's the 1st floor. It's set up as bar-style seating for solo diners. Of course, if there are two of you, the 1st floor bar would work fine for sitting with a friend too.

If you prefer somewhere accessible right in front of a bus stop, the location here is worth keeping in mind too. I had a great meal that day and spent a relaxed, leisurely time in a comfortable atmosphere.
