Seooreung Chinese restaurant: rice noodle jjamppong, dessert ice cream

Hi everyone~ Today I'm sharing my review of Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, which I visited while hunting for good restaurants in Goyang. It's close to Seooreung, so it's a great stop after a walk around the tombs, and with its huge parking lot and group seating it also worked well as a family dinner spot. I ordered rice noodle jjamppong, jijeon jjajangmyeon, and Sichuan tangsuyuk to try myself. In this post I'll honestly go through the menu, parking, atmosphere, and how everything actually tasted at this Seooreung restaurant!

Is parking easy at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch?

Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch has a large parking lot in front of the building that can fit 30+ cars. Staff also helped direct parking, which made arriving by car very convenient.

With so much parking space, visiting as a family wasn't stressful at all.

A handy stop after a walk around Seooreung

Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is near Seooreung, so it's a good place to eat after visiting the area. It's also easy to reach by car, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for restaurants near Seooreung.

Inside Jjamppong Jijeon: dining rooms and group tables

The restaurant overall was spacious with generous spacing between tables. There's group seating and baby chairs too, so it seemed easy to use whether you're looking for a family dinner spot in Goyang or a place to bring kids.

The self-bar with unlimited bean sprouts and rice

The self-bar at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch has various side dishes like pickled radish, onion, cheongyang chili, and bean sprouts, and I liked that you can refill the sprouts and rice for free.

They also had scissors, tongs, a ladle, and even baby spoons and forks, so it looked convenient for visiting with a child too~

Menu and ordering: choosing your spice level on the tablet

Ordering was easy through the tablet at each table. The menu wasn't just the standard options — there was a wide selection including rice noodles, sujebi (hand-torn noodle soup), and soondubu (soft tofu stew).

Especially for jjamppong and jjajangmyeon, you can choose the spice level, so you can order it to your taste~

How did the rice noodle jjamppong, jijeon jjajangmyeon and Sichuan tangsuyuk taste?

What I ordered was "rice noodle jjamppong, jijeon jjajangmyeon, and Sichuan tangsuyuk"!

Rice noodle jjamppong at hell level 2

First up is the "rice noodle jjamppong"~ I actually prefer rice noodles over wheat noodles because they digest better, so I was glad I could choose rice noodles.

I ordered it at hell level 2 (intense spice), and it was just the right amount of hearty and sharp spiciness with a subtle smoky char that really pulled me in. The hearty broth kept me coming back for more, so if you're looking for a jjamppong you'll love, this is a solid recommendation. I like spicy food, so next time I want to try level 3.

There was plenty of seafood like scallops and clams, plus bean sprouts and pork, so the texture was varied and enjoyable alongside the noodles.

Jijeon jjajangmyeon

Next up was the "jijeon jjajangmyeon!" It came piled high with glossy jjajang sauce, and just looking at it made my mouth water ㅠ

There was plenty of potato and onion, and the sweet, savory chunjang (black bean paste) flavor made it easy to keep slurping down.

Sichuan tangsuyuk

I also tried the "Sichuan tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork)." On the first bite, the outside was chewy and the inside was moist. With a subtle spicy kick added on top, it was the kind of dish you keep eating even when you're full! You really can't skip tangsuyuk when you're having jjajangmyeon and jjamppong.

The dessert corner: coffee, tea and ice cream

After finishing the meal, there's a dessert corner with coffee, omija tea, plum tea, and even ice cream!

After a meal you always crave something sweet, and having dessert on top rounds off the meal perfectly.

My honest verdict

If you're looking for good restaurants in Goyang, this Seooreung jjamppong spot is worth a visit at least once. From the hearty rice noodle jjamppong to the sweet jjajangmyeon and spicy Sichuan tangsuyuk, there was plenty of menu variety, and with a big parking lot, group tables, and baby utensils, it was easy to visit as a family. I especially loved the unlimited sprouts and rice refills~ I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat near Seooreung after a walk!
