Samseong Station burger lunch for two with pollock roe mayo fries: Bas
In short
Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is a handmade burger restaurant on Teheran-ro 114-gil in Gangnam, Seoul, with a wide interior and outdoor seating that works well for a Samseong Station lunch. The writer ordered one Double Bacon Cheese Burger set and one Hawaiian Burger, alternating between the heavy and the fresh one, and dipped the fries in myeongnan mayo (pollock roe mayo) sauce. For two people, Bas Burger is best with two burgers of different characters ordered and shared.

I was craving a burger for lunch near Samseong Station, so I stopped by Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch. This time I ordered the Double Bacon Cheese Burger set and the Hawaiian Burger — one a heavy American-style burger with two patties and cheese, the other refreshing with grilled pineapple and vegetables. The flavor difference was clear. The store is also spacious with outdoor seating, so it's worth remembering next time you're looking for burger restaurants near Samseong Station.

Where is Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, and what is the space like?
Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is located at 16 Teheran-ro 114-gil, 1st floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. When I visited, the interior was quite spacious. The seats didn't feel cramped, and there was also an outdoor space that works like a terrace, so on a nice day it would be great to enjoy your burger outside.
It seemed like a good option for office workers around Samseong Station looking for a lunch spot, and the atmosphere also felt suited to spending a relaxed evening with a burger.

Double Bacon Cheese Burger: two patties packed in
The first item I picked was the Double Bacon Cheese Burger set, which I ordered with fries and a Zero Coke. I usually like vegetables in my burgers, so I assumed this one would have them, but it actually didn't have any vegetables at all. Instead, it had two patties, bacon, cheese, and Bas Burger sauce — a burger with a very clear direction.

Taking a bite, it was definitely heavy. With two patties, the meaty flavor came through strongly, and with the cheese and bacon added on top, it had that rich American cheeseburger feel.

I especially liked the Bas Burger sauce — it was spicy-savory with a real kick of umami, which became a nice highlight between the rich meat and cheese. This one would suit people who like a burger with strong patty-and-cheese flavor more than those who want a light burger loaded with vegetables.
Hawaiian Burger with grilled pineapple

The Hawaiian Burger, on the other hand, went in a completely different flavor direction from the Double Bacon Cheese Burger. It comes with grilled pineapple, tomato, lettuce, and other vegetables. With one bite, the sweet-and-tangy flavor of pineapple cuts through the meat, making it feel much more refreshing.

I personally love the pineapple combination, so I enjoyed this a lot. If you're a fan of Hawaiian pizza, this burger will probably suit your taste too. If you're visiting with two people, I'd recommend ordering one Double Bacon Cheese Burger and one Hawaiian Burger and splitting them — the heaviness and freshness were different enough that alternating bites worked really well.
Fries dipped in pollock roe mayo sauce

One thing I especially liked at Bas Burger was the variety of sauces you can enjoy with the fries.
- Myeongran mayo (pollock roe mayo)
- Bas Burger sauce
- BBQ sauce
- Ranch sauce
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
You can grab whichever sauces you like, so even just the fries could be enjoyed in several different flavors. My personal favorite was the myeongran mayo!

Dipping the fries in it added that distinctive salty, savory flavor of myeongran mayo, and it paired really well. If you like fries, this is a combination I'd personally tell you to try.

Free self-serve potato chips at Bas Burger

Another thing worth mentioning at Bas Burger was the potato chips. You can freely grab them at the store, which made for a nice snack while waiting for the burgers. It was also fun trying the crunchy chips with the different sauces.

Little details like this were surprisingly satisfying to me. Since both the fries and the chips could be paired with a variety of sauces, even the sides became fun to customize to my own taste.
Which burger should you pick for a Samseong Station lunch?
Having tried both burgers myself, choosing between them comes down to preference. If you like a rich combination of meat, cheese, and bacon, go for the Double Bacon Cheese Burger; if you prefer the refreshing combination of vegetables and grilled pineapple, go for the Hawaiian Burger. The Double Bacon Cheese Burger in particular is quite heavy, so it worked well as a filling Samseong Station lunch menu when I wanted something substantial.
Final verdict on Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch
Of the two burgers I tried this time, the Double Bacon Cheese Burger was rich and heavy with two patties, bacon, and cheese, while the Hawaiian Burger was refreshing thanks to the grilled pineapple and vegetables — the personalities of the two burgers were clearly distinct. What I liked most of all was dipping the fries in myeongran mayo, and it was also great to be able to help myself freely to the potato chips.
With a spacious interior and outdoor seating, Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch was a comfortable place to eat near Samseong Station. If you're craving a burger near COEX or looking for burger restaurants and lunch spots around Samseong Station, pick whichever burger matches your taste.
