A place like this in Gangnam Station!? A European-vibe café I stumbled onto during a Gangnam date 🥐🤎

The weather's so nice today and I'm in a soft, dreamy mood ☁️ How's everyone been~~?

I recently found what felt like a real treasure while on a date around Gangnam..!?😏

A spot in the middle of Gangnam Station that feels like a European back alley — it's 'Bakerist Brown' 🤎🥐

The red-brick exterior we spotted mid-date near Gangnam Station

Bakerist Brown is a bakery café 308m from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, on Gangnam-daero 102-gil. We were wandering around Gangnam after dinner wondering where to go next, and the red-brick exterior just... caught my eye 👀

It felt like we'd wandered into a European alley smack in the middle of Gangnam Station, so we naturally found ourselves thinking "oh, what's this?" and walking right in hahaha👣

Bakerist Brown's 1st-floor bread display: pastries to salt bread

Turns out Bakerist Brown is a huge bakery café spanning from basement level 1 all the way up to the 3rd floor..!😳

As soon as we walked in there was such an insane variety of bread that my eyes were darting around everywhere @.@

From pastries to salt bread to all kinds of baked goods, everything looked delicious lined up in rows, so it was so hard to choose from the very start…🥹

How many Gangnam Sand flavors does Bakerist Brown make?

Gangnam Sand comes in 8 flavors: raspberry, sweet pumpkin, caramel, black sesame, chocolate, Earl Grey, matcha, and peanut butter. Found the Gangnam Sand corner sitting so prettily on one side of the 1st floor💖

No way I could just walk past this hahahaha The colorful visuals grab your eye right away, and once I looked closer, it turned out there were a whopping 8 flavors~

From raspberry, sweet pumpkin, caramel, black sesame, chocolate, Earl Grey, matcha, to peanut butter, there was such a wide variety to pick from based on your taste, so browsing was fun in itself haha

Especially the package with all 8 neatly arranged looked so pretty just to look at, I thought it'd make a great gift too 🎁🤎

That day I ordered all 8 flavors of Gangnam Sand along with salted cream coffee and an iced Americano~~☕️🥐

Basement level 1: the roomiest floor at Bakerist Brown

While waiting for our order, we walked around the store floor by floor~~👀

First we went down to check out basement level 1, and it had a totally different vibe — a relaxed, spacious layout haha

2nd floor: window light and a full-length mirror

Coming up to the 2nd floor, natural light streamed in so beautifully through the windows — I thought this would be a great spot for coffee if you visit during the day☀️

There was also a huge full-length mirror, so I got a mirror shot too! 📸

It's such a photogenic space, great for taking pictures together on a date👍🏻

3rd floor: big tables for groups and studying

And finally, the last floor we went up to: the 3rd floor!

The 3rd floor has big tables set up, so it looked comfortable for visiting with a group of friends or for study sessions and meetups where several people need to sit together..!😉

After looking around the whole café, we settled into a spot on the 3rd floor…!😎

We brought the Gangnam Sand and coffee up, sat by the window and enjoyed them at leisure — and honestly the vibe here was so much better than expected hahaha

Since it's right in the middle of Gangnam Station, I honestly expected it to be crowded and chaotic, but once inside the store it was much more relaxed than expected — a nice place to sit and chat on a date~~~☕️🤎

And the coffee was so delicious…🤎

Of the 8 Gangnam Sand flavors at Bakerist Brown, my favorite was Golden Hour. The sweetness of the caramel blended smoothly with white chocolate, and eating it with coffee balanced out the sweetness perfectly — personally, I loved that combo~☕️🥹🍯

Now! Let's dig into the Gangnam Sand~?💖 Since it comes in a whopping 8 flavors, it was fun checking out each one!>.< Once we laid them all out, the visuals were colorful and even cuter than expected, so we spent a good while taking photos before eating hahaha 📸

And that's how we thoroughly enjoyed all 8 Gangnam Sand flavors plus coffee!!!!! ☕️🥐 Bakerist Brown 🤎 was a great spot to rest with delicious bread and dessert during a Gangnam date (loved the wide bread selection and spacious store!!!!). Next time I want to try the Wakppu salt bread haha
