Today we went out to Hanam with the family, and since Ogeum-dong was on the way home, we stopped by a café! Turns out there's a bakery hidden near Ogeum Station that the locals in Ogeum-dong love. We snuck in and pretended to be Ogeum-dong residents too haha😆 Alright, let's get into the review!
Grid Cafe hours and where to park on weekends
Grid Cafe (그리드 카페) is on the 1st floor near Ogeum Station, at 146 Macheon-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's open Tue-Sun 09:00-18:00, last order at 17:30, closed every Monday.

Just so you know, they close early once the bakery items sell out. No parking on weekdays, but on weekends you can use the lot behind the store! We visited on a Saturday and used the parking lot without any trouble haha.
What time does the bread come out at Grid Cafe?
For a great bakery, the timing of the bread is the most important thing. At Grid Cafe, bread comes out gradually from 9am to noon, so try to time your visit around when your favorite bread is released.
I found out they've been on TV shows like Jangsaui Shin (The God of Business) and Seomin Gapbu (Common People Millionaires). Maybe that's why the bread tasted especially good. So excited+_+

I wondered why Fritz was mentioned here, and it turns out Fritz Coffee supplies the beans for Grid Cafe. Sounds like they went through a lot of testing and comparing before settling on Fritz Coffee to get the best taste out.

You order at the kiosk. And if you take your drink to go, the Americano is ₩1,000 off. The bread here is great, but it's also a coffee spot, so try it as takeout too!

Let me show you the range of bakery items. Ugh, there was too much I wanted to eat! Looking at one section I wanted this, looking at another I wanted that, my wish list kept getting refreshed lol. For the sake of my diet, I only picked two. So what did we end up choosing—!

Olive ciabatta, 4,000 won, with truffle oil balsamic sauce
When you buy the olive ciabatta, they give you truffle oil balsamic sauce along with it! It's only ₩4,000 but they throw in the oil as a bonus, so it feels like a steal✨🤗 It was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside—the real deal. So good!
The plain milk loaf, reheated in the air fryer at home
This plain bread was a total impulse buy. I originally meant to get an egg tart or a scone, but right before checkout my eyes met the plain bread, and, well. I've been going around trying famous toast breads lately anyway, and since this wasn't just regular toast bread but plain bread, I grabbed it right away! We were too full to eat it there, so we had it at home, and reheating it in our air fryer made it so good! The price was so reasonable I think I'll buy it again.
Nutty or fruity: choosing your Americano at Grid Cafe
Iced Americano is always a good idea. At Grid Cafe, you can choose between nutty or fruity for the Americano. I was curious about a fruity one for once, and turns out I really like fruity coffee,,🥰 I finished mine right away eating it with the bread. I wish there was a delicious neighborhood bakery like this near my place too ㅠ It was so nice to heal with my parents after a while💕
Is Grid Cafe worth a visit? Final verdict
