Jongno date-night burger dinner with 18mm fries: Daily Fix Euljiro

After a date around Jongno, I wanted a good burger for dinner, so I went to Daily Fix Euljiro, a well-known handmade burger spot in Euljiro.

I'd heard it was opened by chefs who used to work at Michelin restaurants, so I was already excited before I even walked in. What really caught my attention, though, was that they make their patties fresh every day using 100% Hanwoo (Korean beef).

Inside Daily Fix Euljiro: seating for dates, groups and solo diners

True to Euljiro form, the store had a hip vibe with a touch of New York energy.

It was clean but not too stiff, which made it a comfortable spot for a dinner date. The lighting and interior looked great too — I came for burgers but ended up taking a lot of photos.

When I visited, there were a lot of couples and friend groups around. The seating was varied too — from 2-tops to 4-tops to 6-tops — so it seemed like a good fit for both dates and friend gatherings.

There were also solo seats by the window, so it looked like a good place to grab a burger alone too.

Ordering is simple through the tablet set up at each table.

Beyond the burgers, there were side menus like fries and coleslaw, plus a good variety of draft beers.

I ordered the Classic Burger SET (18fries + Sprite), Bacon Cheeseburger + Coke, and coleslaw.

How does the Classic Burger taste? Hanwoo patty and a pillowy bun

I tried the Classic Burger first.

It was a solid, no-frills burger with a 100% Hanwoo patty and vegetables. When I took the first bite, the bun was way better than I expected — fluffy with a slightly nutty flavor, paired with a juicy Hanwoo patty. The combo of patty and bun really worked.

The sauce wasn't overly strong and let the savory flavor of the patty shine, so I kept reaching for more bites without feeling weighed down. In particular, the rich, savory flavor unique to Hanwoo really came through — definitely different from a regular chain burger!

Bacon Cheeseburger: thick house-made bacon is the highlight

The other burger was the Bacon Cheeseburger, made with a 100% Hanwoo patty topped with handmade bacon and cheese.

The bacon here really stood out. It wasn't thin and crispy-dry like usual — it was thick, handmade bacon with a real chew to it, which made the flavor even richer alongside the Hanwoo patty.

With the savory patty, salty bacon, and cheese melting in, every bite felt packed with flavor. The burger itself didn't feel too heavy or greasy, so I enjoyed it all the way through.

Personally, if you like the combo of meat and cheese, I think you'd enjoy the Bacon Cheeseburger too.

Why you should order the 18fries, cut 18mm thick

And the menu item I really want to recommend at Daily Fix is the 18fries.

Usually I think of fries at a burger place as just a side, but here they were good enough that I'd order them on purpose every time. 18fries are potatoes cut thick — 18mm — and then fried.

They fry it right after you order, so it came to the table piping hot. Taking a bite while it was hot, the outside was crispy and the inside was fluffy — the texture was really good. The savory, salty flavor of freshly fried potato was great too, and before I knew it, snacking on them alongside the burger, I'd nearly finished the whole thing, haha. I also ordered the signature dipping sauce with the fries, and eating them plain versus dipped in sauce were two different experiences, so switching between the two was fun.

If you visit Daily Fix, definitely order the fries alongside your burger!

Adding coleslaw to the Daily Fix Euljiro order

Since burgers and fries alone can feel a bit heavy, I also ordered coleslaw.

The crunchy texture and refreshing flavor made it a good thing to eat between bites of burger and fries. After eating something rich and savory, a bite of coleslaw felt like it reset my palate — a solid side pairing.

Is Daily Fix Euljiro a good meeting spot for Jongno, City Hall and Cheonggyecheon?

Personally, I think Daily Fix Euljiro is a great place to grab a meal when you have plans around Jongno, Cheonggyecheon, or Euljiro.

If you're on a date in Jongno, or taking a walk along Cheonggyecheon and looking for dinner, this place strikes a good balance — not too heavy, but with a solid atmosphere. It's near Euljiro 1-ga Station, so it's also convenient to reach from Jongno, Cheonggyecheon, or City Hall, making it easy to stop by after a date or a get-together nearby.

The store atmosphere is hip and the seating ranges from 2-tops to 4-tops to 6-tops, so it works well for couple dates as well as meetups or small gatherings with friends. Best of all, it's not just a burger place — with sides like fries and coleslaw and a good variety of draft beers, it's also a nice spot for a light dinner with a beer in the evening.
