Pre-grilled mixed gopchang near Daerim Station, Seoul: Gimga-ne
In short
Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui Daerim Station Main Branch is a grilled beef intestine (gopchang) restaurant in Guro, Seoul, one minute on foot from Exit 1 of Daerim Station. The writer ordered a mixed gopchang set and a plain gopchang set for one, both served already grilled with a house sauce, and finished with kimchi fried rice. A solid gopchang spot for the Guro and Guro Digital Complex area, especially if you'd rather not grill it yourself.

I went to Gimga-ne Gopchang Gui, a Guro gopchang restaurant featured on "I'm Here to Reward You" (aired Oct 14, 2021) with Lee Young-ja, J Sseun, and various mukbang YouTubers 🤗 It's just 230m from Exit 1 of Daerim Station on Lines 2 and 7 — a 1-minute walk, so it's super accessible!

This Guro gopchang restaurant has long been famous, and it was even featured on Lee Young-ja's show "I'm Here to Reward You"!!

What's the atmosphere like inside?
The interior is bigger than expected, with plenty of tables, so it looks great for a group visit too. Overall it has that old-school neighborhood-favorite vibe — a comfortable place to sit down with a bottle of soju 🤗 In the evenings it fills up with regulars, and you can really feel that it's already a well-known spot in Guro 👍

Menu lineup
The menu covers grilled gopchang along with daechang, makchang, plain gopchang, garlic gopchang, pork belly, and more, plus side dishes like Hangang ramyeon and kimchi fried rice, which are perfect for finishing the meal 👏

This Guro gopchang restaurant has instructions posted on how to eat it the best way, so first-timers can just follow along!

Mixed and plain gopchang, served already grilled
I ordered one serving of mixed gopchang and one of plain gopchang. Here, once you order, they grill it for you and bring it out ready to eat, so you can just relax at your table 👍 It's not a partial pre-grill either — it comes out fully and deliciously grilled, so there's no need to fuss over cooking it yourself. Super convenient 🤗

This gopchang restaurant sources beef daily from suppliers who buy and process directly at the Doksan-dong cattle market, and they say they clean and naturally age the intestines carefully to remove toughness, plus they've installed a dedicated water line to keep everything sanitary inside.

Basic side dishes and two sauces
The basic side dishes include cheonyeop (beef tripe/mille-feuille tripe), liver, and dongchimi (watery radish kimchi), plus two sauces to dip into. Since there are two, you can pick whichever suits your taste, but honestly the house special sauce was seriously good? It went so well with the gopchang that I kept dipping into it, haha.

How full was the intestine, and was there any smell?
After a short wait, the fully-grilled gopchang arrived. The portion was more generous than I expected, so it looked really appetizing right from the start 🤗 Chives and mushrooms came along too, which paired well with the meat.

Can you see how full the intestine is with fat? It was nutty and rich, more flavorful the more you chewed it!! There was none of that distinctive off smell, so it was easy to enjoy. The outside was grilled golden and slightly chewy, while the inside was soft and savory — really delicious. Felt like I hadn't had proper gopchang like this in a while! Since it's beef cattle gopchang, it was thick and springy 🤗

At this Guro gopchang spot, since it's all grilled for you, you can just relax and eat while chatting

Finishing with kimchi fried rice
Finishing off with kimchi fried rice makes the meal complete 🤗

They're also running a receipt review event — leave a review and you get to choose a free soju, beer, or Hangang ramyeon. If you're in the Guro or Guro Digital Complex area looking for good Korean beef gopchang, I really recommend giving Gimga-ne a try 👍
