My boyfriend got off work early one evening, so we decided to go get some beef gopchang (grilled beef intestines) — vroom vroom!

My boyfriend is six years younger than me (hehe), and he'd only recently tried proper beef gopchang through me — and now he's completely hooked, haha. "Gopchang means THIS place!" he said, leading me to this exact spot — our go-to! I'd already been once before, and I went again on my own dime, but I still haven't posted that review...
Where is Omokgyo Gopchang, the beef gopchang spot by Omokgyo Station?
Bottom line: this place has it all — a dazzling fire show, delicious side dishes, and plenty of fun while eating! Packed every evening with couples on dates, friend groups, and work dinners! Let me introduce it: "Omokgyo Gopchang"
Location: a 5-minute walk from Omokgyo Station Exit 2 or Exit 1!

Walk into Omokgyo Gopchang and that neon sign greets you first.

How long is the wait, and what is the restaurant like inside?
On weekends plus Thursdays and Fridays, waiting is basically a must! If you're planning to visit then, book through Naver Reservations~
At the entrance there's a tablet set up for waitlisting via CatchTable, and right next to it, a photo booth to make memories!! Haha, love that little touch~

The restaurant is huge, so it seems great for groups, gatherings, socializing, work dinners, and dates alike.

There are also window-side seats, so in fall you can enjoy that outdoor-tent-style dining feel~

Tons of celebrities have visited too!! A truly legit famous spot ♥

They have prepaid cards, point cards, and various other systems, so use them if you need~

Mixed gopchang, green onion kimchi and the tableside fire show
The full table setup arrived quickly!

There's a review event running on Naver/Google/Kakao Maps/T map plus a roulette event~ The roulette gives you anything from a free drink to a ₩30,000 discount coupon!

Fresh liver and beef tripe (cheonyeop) are also set out~ Sometimes the liver isn't provided depending on freshness that day, apparently!

This sundae (Korean blood sausage) was seriously insane... tastes like jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) mixed with rich beef aroma... the kind of flavor that has you scraping the bottom of the bowl.
- Mixed gopchang, 2 servings (₩55,800)
- Dongchimi noodles (₩7,000)
- Fried rice (₩6,900)
- Bibim noodles (roulette event freebie)

After ordering, wait a bit and the gopchang arrives with a bang!! And then comes the dazzling fire show~ wooow!

This kind of show service seems to turn the place from just somewhere to eat into somewhere to actually 'enjoy'!

The daechang (beef large intestine) is thick and the gopchang is thick too... ugh, looking at these photos makes me want to eat it all over again.

The green onion kimchi here is seriously delicious, ugh... it's even better grilled...

Dongchimi noodles and fried rice to finish the meal
The bibim noodles and dongchimi (radish water kimchi) noodles came free from the roulette event! The bibim noodles are tangy-sweet and not too intense, so they go down easily, while the dongchimi noodles are refreshing and cleanly wash away the richness of the gopchang!! Personally, I say you must order the dongchimi noodles!!

Next up, the fried rice! It comes already stir-fried, so it's served on a different hot plate!

To enjoy Omokgyo Gopchang's fried rice properly, wait until that egg is fully cooked before mixing it in! Otherwise it turns into porridge...

Hehehe, we made sure to reheat and finish off every last bit of the leftover gopchang!! Ugh, so full~
There are so many good restaurants around Omokgyo, but Omokgyo Gopchang is clearly number one, a hidden gem of a place. The service is genuinely great, every side dish is delicious, and the gopchang is top-notch~ It's not just a simple meal but a whole fun experience, which makes it a wonderful place to bring the people you care about for work dinners, gatherings, or dates!
If you've been looking for a solid restaurant around Omokgyo, this is it! Highly recommend.
