Finding the entrance to Casamil at La Casa Hotel

Step slightly off the main Garosu-gil street and La Casa Hotel comes into view. The 1st floor entrance is decked out with lush greenery, so I found it right away.

Parking is easy since you can hand your car off to valet right in front of the restaurant. The entrance already has such an exotic feel that I took a few casual photos before heading in.

Inside Casamil: seating, high ceilings and the pet-friendly glasshouse

Inside, Casamil is a bright space with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows letting in natural light. Seating is split among an 8-person private room, terrace seats, and a pet-friendly glasshouse.

Opening the door, the first thing I noticed was the soaring, open ceiling. Big floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light, so the whole place feels bright.

Wood furniture is mixed in with colorful tiled tables, so each corner has a slightly different mood. The tables are spaced generously, so I never worried about the neighboring table's noise while talking.

There's a separate room in the back that seats up to 8, and a lot of people seemed to be using it for wedding invitation gatherings or family meals near Sinsa Station.

On a nice day like this, the terrace seats are a must!! Highly recommend.

There's also a separate space built like a glass greenhouse, the 'glasshouse.'

This is a dedicated area where pet-friendly reservations are possible, and people dining with their dogs looked comfortable here. It made total sense why this place gets picked for Sinsa Station dates or blind date spots.

Casamil's menu is quite varied — salads, wood-fired pizza, pasta, even steak. There's an actual wood-fired oven inside the restaurant, so a faint smell of baking dough drifts through the air.

For this visit, I picked two things at Casamil: the cobb salad (₩19,000) and the beef mushroom salad (₩35,000). Since I came for a proper Sinsa Station brunch, I leaned into brunch-style picks.

Warm, freshly baked focaccia and ciabatta come topped with crispy garlic/onion chips and drizzled with honey — perfect for cleansing the palate before the main dishes.

Casamil's cobb salad is ₩19,000 and comes topped with 8 different ingredients. It arrives on a large plate, piled high with colorful ingredients — a great visual.

Ripe avocado, apple, boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, corn, olives, almonds, dried cranberries, and croutons — 8 ingredients in total.

Instead of ranch or Caesar, the dressing is a house-made black sesame dressing served separately in its own little container.

Mixing it all together for a bite, the dressing was nutty with just a touch of sweetness, letting the fresh taste of the vegetables shine through. The ingredients were generous enough that even splitting one plate between two people, the portion felt quite substantial.

Beef mushroom salad (₩35,000): beef cubes with a poached egg

Casamil's beef mushroom salad is ₩35,000, and it's less a simple veggie salad and more a warm steak-and-mushroom dish.

Thick-cut, seared beef cubes sit on a bed of oil-sautéed mushrooms and arugula, with a poached egg on top.

You pop the yolk and let it coat the warm beef and mushrooms as you eat. The beef wasn't tough at all, cooked moist and tender, and the seasoning soaked into the mushrooms was savory and salty in the best way.

The slightly bitter arugula cuts through the richness of the beef nicely, so you keep reaching for more without getting tired of it. It's on the pricier side, but works well as a full meal or as a pairing with wine.
