Seomyeon solo dining spot in Busan with bar seats: Sanbandeul
In short
Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap, Seomyeon Jeonpo Café Street Main Branch is a Korean restaurant on Jeonpo Café Street in Busanjin, Busan that serves both pork gukbap (pork and rice soup) and milmyeon (chilled wheat noodles). From the solo-friendly dachi bar seats, the writer ordered mul-milmyeon for 6,900 won and Sanbandeul gukbap for 8,900 won: the noodles were clean and nutty, while the gukbap broth was salty in a way that recalled ramen. Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap is a Seomyeon solo dining spot worth returning to for the gukbap alone.

The weather's slowly warming up, but there are still days that feel hot in the afternoon. On days like that, I crave something cool instead of something hot haha

That day I really wanted cool milmyeon, so while searching around I found Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap, Seomyeon Jeonpo Café Street Main Branch, which looked like a solid recommendation for eating alone in Seomyeon, and went to check it out!

Where is Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap on Jeonpo Café Street, and what are its hours?
Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap, Seomyeon Jeonpo Café Street Main Branch is located at 43 Jeonpo-daero 209beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, 1st floor, and is open daily from 11:00 to 20:30. Break time is from 16:00 to 17:00.
From the name you'd think it's purely a pork gukbap spot, but they also sell milmyeon, so I tried both the noodles and the soup together.
Bar seats made for solo diners: seating and kiosk ordering at Sanbandeul
Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap, Seomyeon Jeonpo Café Street Main Branch has dachi bar seats, which are perfect for eating alone!

Restaurants with group seating are nice too, but when you're eating alone the seating layout quietly matters — since they have bar seats good for solo diners, this could be a good option for anyone looking for a place to eat gukbap alone in Seomyeon.

Besides the bar seats, there are also 2-person and 4-person tables, so it's fine to visit with a group too! You order at the kiosk by the entrance before coming in, and there's a spot near the entrance to leave your bags, so you can drop them off first and then sit down.

Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap menu and prices

What I ordered was
- Mul-milmyeon (cold noodle soup) ₩6,900
- Bibim-milmyeon (spicy mixed noodles) ₩7,900
- Sanbandeul gukbap (pork soup) ₩8,900
- Cider (Korean soda) ₩1,500
That's what I got! The milmyeon prices weren't too heavy on the wallet either, so at first I only planned to have a cool bowl of milmyeon — but since the place is literally named Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap and the gukbap seemed to be famous too, I ended up ordering that as well haha. So while looking for good milmyeon in Seomyeon, I ended up trying both milmyeon and gukbap at once.

How does the mul-milmyeon taste? Clean broth with nutty sesame oil
The mul-milmyeon at Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap was overall not intense at all — very light in flavor! I usually prefer lighter food over strongly seasoned or intense flavors, so this suited me well.

What I especially liked was catching the nutty aroma of sesame oil while eating. With a light base plus that nutty aroma, it was easy to keep eating without feeling heavy.

I also liked the texture of the noodles! They were chewy, so there was a nice bite to them haha. Overall, rather than a bold, intense milmyeon, what stuck with me was the lightness, the nutty aroma, and the chewy noodle texture.

If you're like me and prefer easy-to-eat milmyeon over something too intense, this might be worth checking out when looking for good milmyeon in Seomyeon!
Sanbandeul gukbap: a ramen-like broth that won the meal
Honestly, I went that day to eat milmyeon, so I didn't have high expectations for the gukbap. But once I actually tried it, Sanbandeul gukbap was genuinely delicious to me.

When I tasted it, the broth felt a bit different from typical pork gukbap — more like ramen. The broth was salty with a bold, distinct flavor, so I kept going back for more.

If the milmyeon was light and nutty, the gukbap was, by comparison, salty and rich, so the two dishes had quite different appeal.

I originally came for cool milmyeon, but after eating the gukbap I found myself wanting to come back next time just for the gukbap. Adding in the chives they serve alongside made it even tastier!

So personally, I'd like to recommend this to anyone looking for good gukbap in Seomyeon. Especially if you want a hearty meal alone, the bar seats make it a great fit, and I think this will come to mind again when I want gukbap for a solo meal in Seomyeon haha.

Would I return to Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap for a solo meal in Seomyeon?
I visited Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap craving cool milmyeon, but ended up just as satisfied by the gukbap I hadn't expected much from. The milmyeon's light flavor paired well with the nutty sesame oil aroma and chewy noodles, and what stuck with me most was the gukbap's salty broth that reminded me of ramen.

Since the milmyeon and gukbap taste so different from each other, it seems like a good place to pick a dish based on your mood! Most of all, I liked the gukbap enough that I want to come back just for that next time. I'd definitely visit again!
If you're looking for good gukbap near Jeonpo Café Street, or a comfortable place to eat alone in Seomyeon, give Sanbandeul Pork Gukbap a try! Since they sell both milmyeon and gukbap, it's a good spot to pick whichever you're craving that day~
