The basement was renovated a while back, so a lot of restaurants have opened and the interior has changed quite a bit,

Menya Seoul also gives off an upscale Japanese ramen shop vibe. It seems great for solo dining, and the menu and seating also seem perfect for couples having a meal, 🧡

Menya Seoul's signature dishes: jambon char siu ramen, spicy dongpo pork char siu ramen, and dongpo pork char siu ramen. If you like spicy food, go for the spicy version — if you can't handle spice, order the regular one!

They also sell summer new menu items — king shrimp cold ramen and pork belly mazesoba. When your girlfriend or wife says she wants ramen in the middle of summer,, it's not easy to say no, right,,,? When you're sweating from eating hot broth,, that's exactly when the summer new menu is the solution‼️💜

The mazesoba sauce is so incredible that mixing it with rice is amazing,,,⁉️ Literally a mouthful of happiness, level 🆙🆙🆙‼️

Here's the order I placed. When you order a Menya Seoul set you can choose your own side. Pick one from sweet soy chicken rice bowl, karaage, or gyoza‼️ Side dish and drink included for ₩17,800 — that's really a great price‼️

When you sit at the table, lemon kelp vinegar and rayu (chili oil) sauce are set out. Adding them really brings out the umami,❤️

Thickly sliced pork belly fills one side of the bowl, and in the center, spicy minced meat sauce topped with an egg yolk immediately catches the eye,, When you pop the yolk and mix it with the noodles, savory richness and a sharp spicy kick spread out at once, and the salty sauce coats the noodles evenly,, it's artistic,,🧡

The pork belly is slightly charred outside with a smoky aroma, and tender inside — the more you chew, the more juice comes through, which is the highlight,

The sauce is so delicious that big eaters mixing in a bowl of rice will be truly satisfied,‼️

Dongpo pork char siu ramen with the sweet soy chicken rice bowl

The pale, rich broth stands out — one spoonful and a thick yet deep umami flavor rises up subtly.

Thanks to long simmering, the dongpo pork falls apart smoothly even with chopsticks, and the outside is coated in a slightly sweet-salty sauce that adds a different flavor from the broth,💜

The noodles keep a springy texture while holding onto the rich broth well, so they're really great eaten together with the char siu and dongpo pork,‼️

The sweet soy chicken rice bowl side is also really delicious. The crispy yet tender fried chicken and the rice soaked in sauce go together perfectly.
