Kid-friendly galbi restaurant in Naju Innovation City: Chamsutjip

I went to Naju with my kid and was trying to figure out what to have for dinner, so we ended up going back to Chamsutjip in Naju for galbi (marinated short ribs) after a while. It's located near Naju Innovation City!!!

When eating out with a kid, taste matters, but I also find myself checking whether the place is too chaotic and whether we can eat comfortably. Eating with a baby in tow isn't easy...

Meat is a menu that works well for kids and that adults love too, so it ends up being what we pick often for family meals out! That day we ordered two servings of galbi and bibim naengmyeon. As soon as the galbi came out, they put it on the grill and cooked it golden brown, and just the smell of the marinated meat was already amazing.

How does the galbi at Chamsutjip taste? A sweet, savory marinade

Chamsutjip's galbi had a marinade that was just the right balance of sweet and salty, the kind of flavor that keeps you reaching for more. Sometimes galbi marinades are so strong you get tired of them quickly, but that wasn't the case here!

So good... seriously so good, I want to eat it again just writing this.

Taking a bite of a well-cooked piece of galbi, the meat was nice and tender, and the marinade had soaked all the way through. It's delicious just eaten on its own, but wrapping a piece of galbi with some side dishes in a lettuce wrap gave it a whole different level of deliciousness... the best..!

Galbi is especially good to eat with a kid since it's easy to cut into bite-sized pieces, and because it's marinated, kids tend to eat it pretty well too, so it's a good choice for family meals out. We visited with our kid too, and even with all the tending to her in between, we could still eat pretty comfortably!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Galbi plus bibim naengmyeon at Chamsutjip: a combination that never fails

After eating two servings of galbi, it felt like something was missing if we just stopped at meat, so we also ordered bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles). Personally, when eating galbi, I prefer bibim naengmyeon over mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup), and this combo really is hard to mess up. It's an unbeatable pairing....

Eating the spicy, tangy bibim naengmyeon together with a sweet piece of galbi cut through the richness from eating so much meat, and let us keep enjoying the meal all the way to the end. Saving a bit of galbi to wrap up with the naengmyeon at the end was the best part. I definitely thought I was quite full after two servings of galbi, but once the naengmyeon showed up, there was still room.. this stomach has no limits.. haha ㅠㅠ

A wide dining room with both floor seats and chair seats

Chamsutjip Naju Innovation City Branch has both floor seating and chair seating, which made it easy to go with a kid. When eating out with a kid, it's exhausting if the food takes forever to come out or if it's uncomfortable to eat,

but at a barbecue place you can grill the meat and eat it right away, so it seems like a good menu choice for a family visit. And it was really nice that there was floor seating too!~~~~

There's chair seating too, so you can sit wherever suits you~ I couldn't get photos of the whole place since people were sitting around, but the restaurant is really spacious~~ Getting to eat galbi after a while and finishing with bibim naengmyeon felt like a proper full meal.

Would we go back to Chamsutjip Naju Innovation City?
