Hapjeong hair salon in Seoul: platinum blonde root bleach at Arish

I recently dyed my hair a pink shade. But the color faded fast and I was back to blonde! And then my roots grew out and got messy again. So while looking for a Hapjeong hair salon, I visited the newly opened Hongdae salon Arish Hair Hapjeong Muse! It's a 1-minute walk from Exit 4 of the station, so the accessibility was great, plus the clean interior, friendly staff, and meticulous coloring — everything was satisfying, so I'm leaving a detailed review.

This Hongdae bleach salon I visited, Arish Hair Hapjeong Muse, is a 1-minute walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 4. It's on the 3rd floor of a stylish building. It's also within walking distance of Hongdae, so I'd recommend it if you're looking for a Hongdae or Hapjeong hair salon! Hours vary a bit by designer's day off, but it's open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, so it's easy to visit whenever suits you.

The moment I walked in, I felt how overall clean and sophisticated the atmosphere was. Since it's newly opened, everything was spotless, and you could tell they put a lot of thought into the interior! The lighting was great and it felt comfortable throughout, which made getting my treatment pleasant :) The staff were all good-looking too, so I got quite the eye candy haha.

The shampoo space here is especially amazing. I've been to dozens of salons, and the shampoo chairs at Arish Hair Hapjeong Muse were the most comfortable! For reference, this place specializes in bleaching and extensions, so treatment times tend to be pretty long overall. So having comfortable chairs and an atmosphere you can relax in for a long time actually matters quite a bit? On that front, Arish Hair gets a perfect score!

Before: grown-out roots and pink staining on platinum blonde hair

Before. I've been maintaining a platinum blonde color, and it's honestly not that easy to manage. I do regular clinic treatments and home care too, but after dozens of bleaching sessions, this is about the best it gets. Since I'd dyed it pink before, there was a bit of staining, and after about two months my roots had grown out a lot, making it look messy.

I could also choose a drink — I went with the sweet Jetti! They generously gave me Jetti along with snacks too, and I happily ate them. These little touches actually make you feel pretty good :)

How Team Leader Eunha bleaches the roots, step by step

The person who handled my root bleach this time was Team Leader Eunha of Arish Hair. She had friendliness, good looks, and skill all in one, so I'm planning to book her again next time haha. With bleaching, especially at the roots, how far and how you apply matters a lot, and Team Leader Eunha lifts even the scalp-side roots to yellow first, then blends it in!

She really applied the bleach meticulously, and maybe because it was a good product, there was no irritation on the scalp and no smell, so I could relax more comfortably. Then came the foil heat application time! Even then, she kept coming back to check thoroughly, which I really appreciated :)

After checking the scalp-side bleaching, she moved on to root bleaching over a wider area. Again, she applied it super thoroughly! We chatted along the way, so time flew by during the coloring haha.

After the bleaching process was done, it was time to move to the shampoo room! While shampooing, she cleanly cleared out any remaining product from my scalp and hair to finish up. During the shampoo, she even checked for spots where the color hadn't lifted enough and applied extra product — really thorough, which I liked! The massage felt amazing too. The shampoo chair was so comfortable I almost fell asleep...

After: even, bright blonde from root to end

Before, the grown-out roots made my whole head look messy! After, with the roots sorted out, it went back to a bright blonde feel :)

Of course, since I'd had a platinum blonde to pink color history, there was already some staining, so it couldn't match 100%, but I was satisfied with this level! For reference, if you want to match the tone even more exactly, you can apply one more round of color. I skipped that to avoid extra time, cost, and hair damage, but it barely shows!!

From platinum blonde to pink and back to blonde again! After tidying up the hair that looked messy from grown-out roots, my mood definitely improved too :) Team Leader Eunha handled everything from root bleaching to color blending so carefully that I was satisfied :) I heard Arish Hair Hapjeong Muse is also famous as a Hongdae hair extension salon, so next time I'm going to get extensions!
