Men's texture perm & volume magic at Hapjeong hair salon, Recteur

My husband got an ash perm about three months ago, but as time passed the curls loosened up messily and his hair just looked overgrown and shaggy overall ㅠㅠ It looked stuffy and unkempt, so we went to Recteur, a hair salon near Hapjeong Station, for a clean style makeover. Sharing the review here!

It's located about 354m from Hapjeong Station Exit 2, where Line 2 and Line 6 both pass, so it's easy to get to.

There's a private parking lot behind the salon too, so you can visit without any parking stress. We drove there over the weekend and it was really convenient.

The modern, sleek exterior catches your eye right away, and stepping inside, a bright, clean, pleasant interior full of natural light welcomes you.

The space felt open and airy overall with no sense of crowding, so it was comfortable the whole time we were there.

They even brought out cool coffee, juice, and snack desserts during the service, so it felt like hanging out at a cozy aesthetic café.

The style direction decided in the 1:1 consultation

We weren't sure what style to go with, but our designer, Yongtaek, carefully examined my husband's hair condition and head shape and gave us a thorough 1:1 consultation.

Looking at the messy hair, he immediately pointed out the styling direction that would look best given the current condition. We decided to go with a light cut on top, natural volume magic in front, and an overall trendy texture perm style.

After sitting down, they checked the hair condition and started applying the softening agent. He carefully applied the chemical while watching the hair condition closely so it wouldn't be over-damaged.

After the chemical treatment, he did a detailed design cut on the messy hair,

then moved on to giving the stuffy front section natural volume with volume magic, and adding dimension to the top with a texture perm.

Designer Yongtaek's hands were fast and precise, so it all wrapped up neatly in just 1 hour 10 minutes haha

Once the drying and styling were done, the stuffy old hair was gone lol and a clean texture perm style was complete.

The front had just the right amount of volume thanks to the volume magic, not overdone, and it flowed naturally into the top, making the whole look much more polished haha
