Songdo outlet food court hot dog and chili chicken rice: Angry Potato
In short
Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a fries and chicken stall in the basement-level food court of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo in Yeonsu, Incheon. The writer ordered the Big Crunch Hot Dog (11,000 won), Chilis Chicken Rice Bowl (8,000 won), Hot Crunch Chicken (3,000 won a piece) and jjondeuk gamja chewy potatoes M (6,500 won), and helped themselves at the free sauce bar. The jjondeuk gamja eaten right away while still hot were the most memorable part.

The moment I heard that jjondeuk gamja (쫀득감자, the chewy potatoes that have been blowing up in Gangneung) could finally be tasted in Incheon too, I ran straight over! I visited Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch (앵그리포테이토 현대프리미엄아울렛 송도점), a Songdo hot spot that's been spreading by word of mouth. I came away really feeling why it's known as a Songhyeona (송현아, the local nickname for Songdo Hyundai Outlet) favorite and a french fry destination.

When you come to explore Songdo restaurants in Incheon, the thing that worries me most is parking, but as you'd expect from a spot inside Songdo Hyundai Outlet, the parking is huge and convenient, so visiting was easy.
Atmosphere and location

It sits on basement level 1 near Burger King on the food court side, so it was easy to find. The walking route is good too, so it's perfect for a casual stop when you're looking for places to eat in Songdo-dong or Yeonsu-dong.
As soon as I arrived at the store, an exotic yet hip vibe washed over me.

Off to one side, big tubs of Angry Potato Chips in cute containers were on display! They're said to be pure potato chips with no chemical additives, so I felt I could snack on them without any worry. They looked great as a gift or as a beer snack at home too.

Thanks to the hip, pop-up-style vibe of this Songhyeona store, I was already full of anticipation before ordering. One thing, though: since it's a food court, seats may be scarce on weekends, so I recommend grabbing a table before your food comes out!
Menu and what we ordered

From chicken boxes to single side menus, the range of choices was really wide. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered generously to make a full meal of it.
- Big Crunch Hot Dog ₩11,000
- Chilis Chicken Rice Bowl ₩8,000
- Hot Crunch Chicken, 1 piece ₩3,000
- Jjondeuk gamja (chewy potatoes) M ₩6,500

Our order came out in no time! The generous presentation got my appetite going right away, and I'll walk you through each one honestly.

The filling Chilis Chicken Rice Bowl
The Chilis Chicken Rice Bowl (칠리스치킨덮밥) is vegetable fried rice topped with chicken coated in a sweet-and-spicy chili sauce and a generous heap of savory cheese. With nothing but delicious things piled together, there was no way this chibap (chicken-over-rice) combo could taste bad. It's very filling as a meal.

Crispy, juicy Hot Crunch Chicken
One bite of the Hot Crunch Chicken (핫크런치치킨) and it reminded me of the Golden Olive chicken from BBQ (the Korean chicken chain)! The outside was seriously crispy and the meat inside was moist and full of juice, so I thought, yep, this really is a proper chicken place.

The size is truly overwhelming! What you see in the photo is only half of it, and it's stuffed full with mac and cheese and Chilis chicken, so the fullness factor is no joke..

Jjondeuk gamja you have to eat while it's warm
Here's the signature item I was most excited about, the jjondeuk gamja! The texture is really something: a chewiness like eating a really delicious cheese tteok (rice cake). Fresh out, it's the textbook definition of crispy outside, soft inside, but it can go soggy quickly as time passes, so I strongly recommend eating it right away while it's warm!

Free signature sauce bar
In one corner of the store there's a signature sauce station that's unique to Angry Potato.

Being able to help yourself to as much of the varied, tempting sauces as you like, free of charge and to your own taste, was a big plus!

Sauce takeout containers are ₩500 for a 1-cup and ₩1,000 for a 3-cup. Keep that in mind if you're getting takeout!
Overall verdict
A wide, convenient parking lot, a hip store vibe, a variety of free sauces, crispy-outside-soft-inside jjondeuk gamja, and generous main dishes: overall, the visit was more satisfying than I expected. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for the Songdo Hyundai Outlet pop-up or a snack that's a little out of the ordinary.
