Why I looked for a salon in Gangnam that colors hair well

I'm a spring light tone, so I get my roots dyed every time, but after switching salons a few times, every place did my roots slightly differently and I ended up with really blotchy hair ㅜ The top was light and the bottom was really dark.

So I wanted one even tone-down color — plus no red or yellow tones — and went looking for a salon that's good at coloring in Gangnam.

Out of all the salons I've been to, this one felt the most upscale, somehow?? Especially the manager at the counter — pure gorgeousness. I'd called a few times before visiting, and they were so kind and friendly from start to finish. They were so gorgeous in how they treated me that I ended up feeling like a gorgeous customer myself, haha

Usually at a salon, staff take your coat and bag and store them away, but at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch you get your own locker with a passcode, which felt even more reassuring.

Consultation with Designer Yeeun and what ribbon color is

I booked Designer Yeeun after seeing reviews saying she's really good with brown color, and before the treatment she gave me a really detailed consultation. That made me trust her even more!

I got the ribbon dye! People like me who keep their hair colored always worry about hair damage every time we dye. But the ribbon dye at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam is actually a course that benefits your hair while coloring it — it feels like color plus a clinic treatment.

Here's the before and after. The tone got so calm and even!!! It used to have this huge color difference between top and bottom — if you look closely, the part I'm holding is almost black, while the top is light brown... with tons of yellow tone even.

How the matte brown repair color is done, step by step

At Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch, they applied scalp protectant and hair protectant before the coloring started. I usually get my roots done at a cheap neighborhood salon, and my scalp would sting and itch like crazy every time ㅠㅠ With this kind of prep, there was way less irritation during the coloring!

My roots had grown out and the top and bottom sections were totally different colors, so they mixed custom colors for each section and applied them separately. They also added this protein ampoule, which apparently minimizes hair damage while also boosting color payoff and longevity!

And this is the key part of the ribbon dye, the repair dye — they used Shiseido salon solution products to thoroughly wash out leftover dye residue, which is said to boost color vibrancy and longevity. This is the Shiseido Luminogenic Color Shampoo and Luminogenic Treatment.

Then they finished with oil from the same line and styled it into a C-curl.

The result: matte brown with no red or yellow tones

I love it so much! The color's great, but doesn't the hair also look so much healthier?! Even after coloring, my hair got so much calmer. It went from frizzy to shiny and healthy.
